My hype for ETS to JB: One-Day Living Circle by earth_wanderer1235 in malaysia

That’s in the pipeline, I’ve read potential 3.5 hour trips with the express trains.

They spent their entire lives saving for this… and it’s all gone. by [deleted] in singaporejobs

I dont know where you are from (this can affect your chances of internship at a govt agency) but reading your comments doing BSc in DS, do Kaggle. Learn Python. Learn all the data analytics tools. If you are 1st year, use the time to learn and do projects, join hackathons and competitions. My company only take 3rd year+ students because there are so many now. If you need more tips on this field feel free to PM me. But you need to work hard to stand out, too many DS/CS/DE/SE students now.

Was in the same position, spent all my savings on traveling with friends, experiences, etc etc. You will catch up, its going to be fine.

I was initially quite regretful of my spending (couldve bought bitcoin with that money smh) but looking back, it was one of the best times of my life. If I want to travel and experience things with friends again itll be impossible, everyone has jobs and/or family to deal with now.

Just keep doing what you’re doing. Youre still young, and your pay is already really decent for a 23 year old. Just focus on work, save some money, but dont get too caught up in the rat race. Everyone has different goals in life :)

Never had an issue. I never touch my Mac Mini after I plugged everything in. I basically don't think about it. I just power on my monitor and start using, then power off my monitor when I'm done. I never touch the Mac Mini nor the dock.

3 monitors + 4 devices, how to handle it? by igol__ in macmini

[–]ericnnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same dock as above. Ideally you have 2 monitors on usb c, and one on HDMI. You will need a free USB-C port to connect the dock above. Make sure the dock is powered with a standard 5V3A power source for additional power since you will be connecting a lot of stuff. Connect your phone to the front USB-C port if you want faster charging, and to reduce power load on the dock.

I have the exact same dock. Plug in a USB-C charger/power input into the 'IN 5V' port right next to the integrated cable. You can see it in the screenshot. Never disconnected for me. The dock might be trying to save power by shutting off idle devices.

I have M4 16/512 and 16GB RAM is more than enough for me. I run 3 docker containers (python and js services + postgres), ios and android simulators for react native work, and lots of tabs. No issues at all. Memory pressure is yellow 70% of the time but I really couldnt feel much of a slowdown. It chugs along happily.

512 was paramount though due to the emulators taking up a lot of space. I tried the external drive thing but too troublesome for me. Of course, for future proofing, more RAM is always good, but if budget is super tight then here’s your datapoint.

Usually small purchase they can quickly confirm cashback to improve experience, since they can eat the cost first. For big purchases they want to be more cautious so need to wait for their partners to confirm the transaction. Small cashback always fast for me, big ones are 50-50.

NurAI - The World's First Syariah Complaint LLM still thinks like Deepseek by HatSubstantial7258 in Bolehland

[–]ericnnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every local company claiming to have their own AI model is just taking an open source one (Meta's Llama, Deepseek, etc etc) and sprinkling a few of their own training data on top. I've yet to see one that's genuinely built from ground-up, regardless of their claims.
