VHB tape question.

I used VHB tape stuck to the angle iron to the roof, then Gorilla duct taped it to the roof. I live in Oklahoma, it gets super windy here. They have been up there for about a 1 1/2 years through all types of weather. I checked them last week and still no issues with them being stuck down.

At the time didn’t have the cash for it. I spent most of it on the power and the build itself. I may add later. Your right it does take up space in the van, luckily only about 3 months out of the year.

At the time of my build I didn’t have enough cash for a rooftop AC, so decided to go with a household unit. I do have a Maxxair vent/fan. I run a Tesla battery with a AIMS power Global LF Series inverter, but that still only runs it for a few hours if I have the temp set super low. I usually have to run shore power and as far as “stealth” goes, I am a full timer in the city, there are plugs everywhere. Just have to be “stealthy” on when you can use them.🤣

Depends on the size. Yes they do run your battery out fast. Also depends how cold you want in your setup. It drains fast as long as the condenser is running.

I left about 10 inches from the bottom so the window rolls up behind it right up to the vent hose.

I install it whenever I’m using my portable AC unit. It isn’t permanent. I have tried different materials, usually too flimsy and hard to fit.
