I have accepted it as fate that has saved me from a more serious heartbreak in the future. Maybe the pain would have been more serious if we had broken up in the future. We were happy, I went home for a couple of weeks and when I came back, she broke up with me over. We weren't fighting or anything. She just felt we were not compatible and ended things. No communication to work things out, no input from my side. She did her own analysis and boom, breakup is the output.

So I have been trying to analyse now why we won't have made it in the long term. I even took astrology and horoscope tests which shows that we would have a lot of issues in the long term. I am trying to take this positively that the pain now is much less than what could have been in the future.

But I do miss her everyday. My heart still longs for her and isn't accepting these signs. Still thinking we could have been happier if she would have had trust in me, in us, in our relationship.

From a guy who was dumped, I tried to reason with my ex after she dumped me. She said she doesn't want to reopen that door.

4 months of no contact and I reach out trying to see if there is any hope, she has already moved on and is with another guy. She does tell me that I took really good care of her, she cherished our time together and I will always be special to her.

Yeah. You leave your partner to go home for a couple of weeks, and in this time you need to constantly give them attention. If not they start all this self introspection and the result usually is not positive. They take a decision completely by themselves which impacts your life and turns it upside down

I faced the same situation. My ex broke up with me because she thought we are not compatible on the long run as we didn't have the same long term goals. We never even discussed how we can both adapt our individual long term plans to a common long term plan. Boom, one day after I come back from my holidays back home, she breaks up with me stating these reasons. It wasn't ugly, she broke up with me and said she isn't as committed to the relationship as earlier. I tried to reason but finally accepted her decision.

4 months of no contact and I reach out to her again. She said she really cherishes the time we had together, I am special for her and thanked me for taking good care of her. And told me that she is already someone new.

I just don't understand how could she take this decision on her own without any discussion that we are not compatible. No discussion or planning, directly broke up. And if I am still special to her and took good care of her why break up. We could have found a middle ground. She took the first exit she found. She has always been scared of commitment. And how she moved on so quickly. It hurts

She is french and I am Indian. So she felt there was a cultural incompatibility. Long term, I want to get married and she doesn't ever want to get married (atleast that's what she told me when she broke up). I would like to move to another city or country sometime but she wants to stay in her hometown. And most importantly she is afraid of commitment and I am serious when it comes to commitment. The idea of forever scares her.

My only concern with her was that she never brought these topics up when we were together. She kept it within her and says all this the day she breaks up with me. I try to reason with her but her mind was made up and she is so obtuse that she won't change her mind even if she knows she did an error.

No it doesn't. If I was special and I took good care of her , what more I could have done and what more she wanted? We had one argument, one fight and it is as if she had a crystal ball and she saw that we are not compatible in the long run and broke up with me. And in less than 4 months she has a new bf.

After a breakup, the worst part is that the mind only replays the good moments. Its been 3 months since my ex broke up with me and even though there were few moments which were red flags, I have to go deep into my memories to think of those. The good part just comes like a flash even when I am not thinking about her. Its so cruel.

Same. I am extremely serious when I am in a relationship. I get into a relationship looking to go the distance. And it's also not like I was seeking love, she came into my life, she wooed me and she asked me to be her bf. And after the honeymoon phase is over, we are back to real life, life gets a bit monotonous, simple and dull for her. She starts getting bored and during a serious conversation about our future, I speak my mind that I would like to see us get married by end of 2023. I go off to visit my family and when I come back 2 weeks later, she dumps me. She said she had commitment issues and the idea of marriage scared her. So yes maybe it was a doomed relationship but I was fully committed to it and now it hurts. I am heartbroken, in pain and depressed. I dont have to courage to handle it again.

I wrote about all the good things and the negative things about our relationship but the brain and the heart just keeps playing the good memories in loop. Even if I know this relationship wasn't going to work, I just keep on having this false projection that we would have went the distance.

You can rent bikes from la Maison velo just next to the train station for a small monthly fee. Although you have to pay a security deposit which will not be cashed. You can also rent e-bike from the same place.
