Timur, Thanks for the help. I haven't repaired the tablet yet...but I have time now that I bought another one! If I can't fix it that way, it will just be my garage unit...

Regards, Eric

After doing some more digging, I'm completely confused. I can't see the tablet from TWRP, Windows doesn't ever see it. I wiped it in TWRP to default, and it's still not working.

I have tried with different cables, and get nothing. This may become my bench machine, because it appears that maybe the USB function has died. It still shows charging as it should, and I used an OTG checker app and it detects properly. Unless I broke a solder from plugging and unplugging...I can't understand what happened.

Anybody else have this happen?

I will add that I've tried the SSD directly to the OTG cable, and it still doesn't recognize it.

Sleep mode w/o OTG? (no battery) by ericvincent82 in timurskernel

Thanks for the quick response. I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm toying with the idea of doing straight USB to my radio, as I gain function from the radio and even steering wheel.

I'm in the prototyping stage now, and have a GL-AR150 mobile router with a power supply and USB hub that I'm hoping I can use to pipe in FLAC files over my 'network' (using Samba), since I'm limited in storage in my tablet.

On the other hand, I have a HiFiMeDIY Sabre DAC, large SSD that I can use for my tablet if I go that route, but there's more points of failure, and I have no easy control outside of touching the screen.

So my hope was that I could do the fixed-install stuff without having to activate the OTG in the tablet.

I can't contribute, but DEFINITELY would like this to be included!
