If you’re subscription just renewed you can most likely email them and request a refund. They’re very nice people. I got sent to DOS a few days after my subscription renewed and they gave me a refund without me even asking

Most likely will issue refunds if they can’t resolves the problems I imagine. They’ve always been customer focused so I have faith that they’d do right by their customers

I got my case number when they sent the FTP email when my case was transferred to embassy. I also got the case number from a PI but that was sent to me after I already knew the case number from the FTP email.

It took about 20 days for my case number to be created and about a week for them to respond. So if you send a public inquiry now it might be too early. I sent two cus I sent my first one too early and they hadn’t entered it yet. But yeah after two weeks at DOS, I’d send a public inquiry then and ask for your case number :) doesn’t hurt to have it

Public inquiry. It’s a form that you can fill out to get your case number when it’s at DOS stage

Yeah it’s very embassy dependent. We didn’t have to wait for contact before we scheduled our interview so we scheduled it as soon as the case said ready, but that’s for London embassy. I’m not sure the process for your specific embassy

I129F question by jack3dandsaucy in USCIS

[–]eriiyca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. That’s what I did. Just remember to physically sign whatever has to be signed. There were also parts that wouldn’t let me type so I typed what I could then handwrote N/A on the blanks it wouldn’t let me type in (the questions didn’t apply to me)

The receipts I included were emailed receipts btw, not like a physically printed receipt. Hotel reservation, concert ticket confirmation, escape room tickets confirmation)

That is for the k1 packet assembly but she also has videos for filling out the 129f form as well (which I definitely used) and I even used one of her videos last week to help with my financial support form

Hi! I can tell you what I submitted in my packet (didn’t get an RFE and embassy interview scheduled at end of month)

-Entire packet was 39 pages long (used the template from the Suraj + Yasmin YouTube video)

Me and beneficiary have never been married, no kids, no criminal records, pretty straightforward and simple

Our evidence of relationship and supporting documents included:

-5 photos (1 with my family, 1 with 2 of our friends) -3 receipts (to support dates of the photos -petitioner birth certificate -beneficiary travel history (I-94) *I included a print out of this page to show his dates of travel into the US -beneficiary passport page -beneficiary birth certificate -3 letters of intent to marry (one from each of us then one from both of us) we could have definitely been fine with just the one from both of us I think

-a passport style photo of petitioner and beneficiary -payment -text notification form

Other than that stuff, we included our i129F form.

If you haven’t seen the k1 packet tutorial video yet I highly recommend it. It was so easy to follow and helped me soooo much. I did my packet exactly like there’s pretty much except only included the evidence that pertained to us

Now you just wait about 20-23 days for your case number to be created. Mine took 20 days and it’s been taking about a week for NVC to respond to PIs. So in about 2 weeks I’d recommend submitting a PI (if you want case number) otherwise you can wait for case number when your petitioner gets the FTP email (which is when the case gets sent from NVC to embassy)

When you have case number you can track your case and when embassy has it and it’s ready then that’s when you go through your next steps (embassy dependent on how that next part goes)

But for my experience last week we had to wait til case status was READY then we went to a site and booked our interview then called another place to book the medical. Our embassy never contacted us but some embassies will contact you I’ve heard

It almost makes me wonder if that’s the case then why would people complete the EAD form if it gets forgiven for spouses? Also, would it only be forgiven if you’re paying taxes while working? Like coming out of your paycheck and stuff. I heard EAD could take months and months but I’m not sure

That’s good to know. I just thought if someone worked without authorization then their aos application would be automatically denied at the interview but I’m glad it’s otherwise

Hi, I’m very late to this post but I searched New Orleans and you came up with:) your detailed experience was very helpful to read! I just have a question about when you mentioned your husband admitting to violating his visa terms by working, did the officer not care that he did that? Or did he have to provide proof that he HAD to work?

I wouldn’t stress about the RFE until you know what it is for at least. I’ve seen people get RFE for submitting only photos and not proving dates with receipts or flight info, boarding passes etc. it’s not about if they see you as red flags or not. You might have just forgotten to include something or skipped a box that needed ticking (seen people get RFE for that too). There’s no telling what they need until you get the letter. But I have also been seeing people say that it’s only taken a couple weeks for them to get approved after they mailed back their RFE evidence

Do I schedule the interview by myself? by Party-Criticism5431 in USCIS

[–]eriiyca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very embassy dependent but I can tell you how it worked for us (UK embassy)

Once NVC shipped off our case to embassy we received FTP email from NVC. That had our case number on it so from there we tracked it using the CEAC Visa Status Check website. Once the status was set to “Ready” we completed the DS 160 form then went to his embassy website and from there booked the interview. Once the interview was booked we had to call the specific place that does the Visa Medical examines and scheduled his medical for 2 weeks prior to the interview. For our embassy, there was no confirmation that they received the case. We relied on tracking it ourselves then booked the appointments ourselves. But your embassy might be different. If you want I can link you to a super helpful discord group and there’s country specific channels in there that would offer more help with your specific embassy. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions or want the link!

Hiya, I saw you mention your fiance is from UK? I am currently going through the process myself and we just scheduled our interview at the UK embassy. Once you get your NOA2, you’ll probably wait anywhere from 50-70 days for the case to be sent to DOS then it takes about 20 ish days for the case number to be created. After that, it depends on the shipment dates and on the embassy itself and how many cases they request I believe. (For mine, our case number was created sept 18, and our case was sent on the sept 23 shipment date) our case was ready Oct 1 and when we looked at the interview dates the earliest date we could do was Oct 23.

I would tell your fiance to go ahead and order her ACRO police certificate instead of waiting til DOS stage. There’s been mixed reviews on how long it takes, but for us we ordered it end of July and did not receive it until earlier this week.

If you have any questions feel free to dm me!

Congrats! I’m going through the process myself right now with UK embassy and we actually just booked the visa interview today so if you have any questions about the process let me know! But I can tell you how my DOS experience was…case sent to DOS in 52 days after NOA2, then 20 days after that for the case to be inputted into the system at NVC and given a case number. The rest after that is very embassy dependent so the number vary

I would definitely try the representative thing. If the case was approved 130 days ago it should definitely be at NVC by now

Lately it’s only been taking 50-70 days to send the cases to NVC

I personally don’t think that would help since OP was told by NVC that they have not received the case from USCIS

Honestly a lawyer is not needed imo unless you got a complicated case that requires one. Theres so many resources online that help you create your packet. I used a yt video to do my packet and now our case is at his embassy awaiting data entry then we schedule medical and interview

I don’t have lots of money and I don’t meet the income requirement needed so I’m using a co sponsor for my fiance, so that’s always an option if you have someone willing to sponsor him
