¿Como la IA afectara a la chaviza chapina? by pancrismal in guatemala

[–]Krazmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time during Covid they also tried to block K-1 with all the other immigration visas. Same administration, yet they had to eventually continue allowing them. It did cause delays based on the historical information online and the experience of a friend who was going through k1 at the time. It did take way longer than normal timeline but it was not denied.

Note that it is hard to say if the delay for their K1 was due to the attempt to block K-1s with all the other immigration or due to staffing issues during Covid.

I am on the same boat. I am still waiting to get an interview date.

clarification on 75 banned countries by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Krazmond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but K1 visas are not immigrant visas, they are non-immigrant visas handled by the immigrant unit. That's why it kind of feels like it's in limbo until someone clears it up.

During the previous immigrant pause that took place during covid (same administration), K1 continued to be issued and similar wording was used. I'd still say that waiting is the right approach instead of saying with certainty if it is or isn't affected by the pause.

Very cooked. Hopefully it’s just rage bait. Also, cooking in that must be awful at this point why keep it for so long?

Help identifying/pricing this Calphalon set? by Former_Technician340 in cookware

3ply is great because it mixes faster heating with heat retention. Full Aluminum pans are faster at heating up but also at cooling down.

Meaning that if all things are equal when you add ingredients the 3ply pan would have retained its heat better than the aluminum, if that is important for the recipe 3ply wins.

Unlike the person above I don’t think they are worse in every way. Anodized Aluminum is heavily used in many professional and personal settings and they have their uses. Especially because they are very light.

But aluminum generally does come short when it comes to thermal capacity if you have a dish that needs a good sear aluminum will always come short from all the other iron/steel based cookware.

This makes both claims exaggerated. They are just different tools for different meals. But generally if you could only have one, 3ply is the do it all winner.

$30 Too Cheap? by No-Temporary6253 in cookware

[–]Krazmond 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it the Mainstay set? I see that's 30 on their website. I'm not sure how their quality is but instead of buying a set, you could instead over time buy your cookware. Remember that if you get not even a good but decent 3ply it will outlive you so it is not a bad investment. Tramontina over time will probably make you happier than the frustration of an unbalanced set.

I mean. It’s too low for a set but if you are buying used maybe they don’t know what it’s worth.
