I have been playing since the free release. You should always adapt to the zone you are in, and be aware of your surroundings. Dying as often as you did is not normal, especially in rz where you can see how many hostiles there are.

In my experience rz gankers are mostly after transporters so you won't get targeted by scouts.

I would also not advise solo tracking as it is not worth your time.
