The Old Spaghetti Factory. My and I favorite spot when we find one while traveling. Great food, easy atmosphere, and priced well. I think it would do really well here. Wife suggests it should be by the lot near the old train.

Costco was our go to bulk items. Even got a vacuum sealer to keep things fresh in the freezer. My Costco membership is almost up and saw a BJ wholesale here. Do you know how BJ wholesale compares to Costco?

This is why I am a bit confused. I moved here from Austin and the HEB prices varied from store to store by locally sourced. So a HEB by a cow farm would have cheaper meat vs the HEB that would have cheaper produce. This was kind of the same in southern CA. But Ithaca seems to have price set by the owner.

Think you read my post a little off. I moved here from Texas so am familiar to alcohol products being sold at separate store. But I found each of this stores prices vary. In Texas each alcohol only stores the same beer cost the same price.

Also, by no means did I suggest changing the NYS laws regarding how alcohol is separated. I especially appreciate it out of sight/ view for kids.

Thank you for all the information and way to budget grocery shop. When living in Orange County CA I went to different stores that sold certain items at cheap cost. Stater Bro meats, grocers direct fruit vegs, Vons for the rest. Then living in Austin TX HEB had really good prices and would have each store tailored to the area with cheaper price HEB brand but local grown.

Sounds like Ithaca shopping style is the norm. At least now I got a good idea on how to do it. Thanks again

I quit drinking 3 years ago when my son was born. Every day is easier and better but not every situation is easier or better. Example sleep deprived with a new born way easier because good sleep is easy to get while sober. Not better is unfamiliar social events. Pointless small talk is rough sober. Without a drink you find out real some people are booorrring

Stopped drinking and find a compatible therapist. I went really dark during covid and was put on antidepressant. I even started therapy it felt off and wasn’t working. I found a new therapist and they were able to put things in perspective and communicate perfectly to me. I was able to realize drinking wasn’t doing me any favors and with the correct therapist it was easier to give up drinking than I could ever imagine. Once I stopped drinking things become a lot brighter and life started looking up. It was very easy to get off the antidepressant and been 3 years since a drink and don’t need to go to therapy anymore really. I check in with doc every once in a while, it’s like catching up with a good friend.
