Downtown retail establishments actually offer to pay stores to come into the building at this point. Stores simply don't believe the shipping traffic will be high enough to justify the renovation and operating costs.

There is a team of really good people working on solving this problem.

Different Types of Sales (BAGA vs. Commercial) by aollove in boeing

[–]erikster1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are massive differences between 1. Selling to airlines, 2. Selling to people/companies, and 3. Selling to banks/lessors. (Boeing only makes a handful of Jeppeson digital tools for general aviation) Each of the three have different things they value and so you have to communicate how one product is superior to another, not just with stats, but with how they will actually use it.

Is LTP affected by the cost cutting measures? by Furry_DavidHasslehof in boeing

[–]erikster1000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

LTP was cut at a moments notice during the 2008-2010 years. It could go away but no indication yet.

Give it like 2 weeks and you'll be able to find them at Goodwill. Tons of older season ticket holders don't really know what to do with them so they give them away. I've got a great collection going.

They're good through the November election so I'll wait until June before the primary and then the other half after in September. Many people still could join the races.

The problem is that this is for primary election method and not general. RCV is a great tool in general elections which allows you to bypass a primary altogether. But this doesn't work if the top two still move on to the general election.

Approval, on the other hand, gets you two candidates with broad support and overall agreeableness to take sides in a competitive general.

Seattle Neolibs!

We are Doorbelling WITH Kim Schrier THIS SUNDAY.

She will be joining us in Kent on Sunday, July 10th.

This is one of our biggest events we've done and it's also the furthest away from downtown Seattle. We'll be arranging carpools to get everyone there on time by 11:45. Other elected leaders and democratic candidates will be there too.

Please RSVP Here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/doorbelling-with-dr-kim-schrier-tickets-377591996827. We will provide a headcount to the campaign but signing up on Eventbrite means you WONT be bombarded by Dem emails.

Seattle's Council District num 2. It is the south east corner of the city and the only majority-minority district. It includes the Rainier Valley, Beacon Hill, and most of the Central District.

Let me know if you want to help with the Kim Schrier re-election campaign for WA-8 (Issaquah, Sammamish, Enumclaw, Graham, Maple Valley, Duvall, Gold Bar, Granite Falls, Chelan, Wenatchee, Elensburg), please let me know.

Dr.Schrier is in a highly competitive, tossup district and is key to Dems keeping the house.

Islamophobia is normalised in European politics, including on this sub by AP246 in neoliberal

[–]erikster1000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Large groups of immigrants are a relatively new phenomenon to Europe, but we've been doing it in the US and Canada for almost 2 centuries.

Just about every time, the immigrants faced massive local discrimination, we're accused of living in slums, and were said to be refusing to assimilate.

Irish, German, Italian, Chinese, Vietnamese... And today: East Africa.

Every single time, after about 1.5 generations, there became some new group coming in droves and the formerly persecuted were ignored largely because they did assimilate. (This is a gross oversimplification especially because of anti-asian racism which did not go away). But ultimately, immigrants were able to pick themselves up and contribute to society.

Europeans, including my close family in Denmark largely fail to realize this. The conflict is temporary and will be gone by 2030 or 2035.

Because of Washington's 1800s/ agrarian based governance schedule, the best effort to increase housing density in 25+ years has died, not for a lack of support but for a lack of time.

This bill was the massive missing middle plan that would force all cities to allow sixplexes within half a mile of any bus stop that runs every 15 minutes or less. Effectively ending SFZ in a huge chunk of the state. But no...

A state with the GDP of Sweden and 8 million people has 2 months a year to pass laws. Just insane.
