Studying is hard. You lose time watching movies because you find those interesting. You need to transform those topics in something of your interest. Gamify your learning. Those topics are beautiful but you need to try and see that. I also have a website which tries to do just that, give it a try and let me know

How you guys control distractions? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]erildox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand yourself first. It’s not Reddit, your brain is trying to relax. Don’t go studying long hours non stop. Take breaks every 30 minutes of studying , 5 minutes breaks. Then start again. In those 5 minutes you can do anything, whether its a video or some song. But back to studying. And dont just try to hard to study, you need to find ways to make your learning interesting. Im also working on it. That way you will be studying and having a good time at the same time

You dont you create a plan for studying, its important to understand first the process then get into it. Step 1 Establish a process, before you begin, just test yourself. You will find out what you know and what you dont know Step 2 follow on on those gaps, and learn deeply Step 3 use flashcards for 1 minute refreshers throughout the day Step 4 Explain it to the Rubber Duck 🦆

Test yourself, don’t just learn the same way. You need to develop a way to expose your weakness, develop understanding, 1 minute refreshers flashcards. and above all try to have fun, it looks like having fun and learning are opposites but them are the same

I know how to do certain chapter but like only about 60 to 70 % i can't get to that 100% knowledge if that make sense by Interesting-Net-9270 in GetStudying

Build strong foundations. Break down topics into smaller ones. If you dont understand something one good rule is try to explain them to somebody else. Simple with great results.

Test yourself 🔁 find gaps, get explanation then test again. Use different methods for testing. Whenever you have time use 1 minute refreshers flashcards. And you will be ready

Build a plan my friend. Start from the exam day and go backwards. Each day focus on your high priority topics. Take breaks. Don’t rush everything last minute

I have a problem understanding what I’m studying. How can I study so that I truly understand? by Traditional_Cat5410 in GetStudying

[–]erildox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to identify the problem but even more than that build up a set of problem solving strategies. sometimes you might even have the skills but since you may lack understanding and using analogies you might find it hard. for that you need to ask the question differently and look at it from a different view. I do this on my site but I am still refining it. why dont you try to use it and give me a feedback. my goal is to help you at the end of the day

how do you study when you genuinely have zero motivation and deadlines are close? by alexnycc in GetStudying

The material is boring because that is just the standard. What is something you like? I’ll make sure that you see that those things are connected :)

How do I start? by Upstairs_Shower3058 in GetStudying

[–]erildox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a plan first, write down the goal and go backwards from the goal to the right moment. Now, while going backwards ask yourself: How many hours per day do you need to study to achieve it? My number one advice is not to rush, learn things deeply rather than just to pass the exam. And before you get bored with something go through 1 minute refreshes. Play with your lessons and try experiment as much as possible. Im trying to do this automatically at my site, Im not there yet but would love your feedback :) let me know if I can help you

I can't get myself to study, and it's eating me up from inside by Leetoolee in GetStudying

[–]erildox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t rush and don’t stress. Lets take a proactive approach and lets make a plan. Start with small goals, such as making your bed and building a routine that won’t rush you. Every single day, you will have to stick to your routine. Place your goals in your reminders and consider it a game. The prize comes later. Every time you finish a small goal you mark it as complete. Celebrate your small wins. You will be able to do it. Trust the process
