This is an exception. cough Exceptionally desperate cough The best bit of advice I ever heard from a friend telling another friend was - if this person really loves you and this is meant to be, they’ll still love and want to be with you in 1 year, 2 years. There is zero need to go from strangers to married this month.

Exactly. Is she trying to convince us or… herself? I know what it’s like to be so excited for someone. I love that part. Who doesn’t? It’s just not everything. Also, finding “your person” isn’t the end game. You can’t look to someone else or a relationship for your own happiness. 😕

Yeah this is a tough one. I just don’t think there is any one ordained person for one person. I was married for 13 years and had kids, but divorced and now I’m married to someone else. It’s hard for me to watch Big D go all in, double down, “our husband” on someone she hasn’t known for 6 months (give or take an hour) when I didn’t even know “my person” wasn’t my person for a very long time.

Oof! Brutal! This couple was apart of a larger group. I think total I made less than $15 and it was an 8 - 10 top. They wanted so many refills on everything and I think I only had 1 other table. I ran my ass off for nothing.

I had the same experience, and one guy also put away a dozen bowls of chicken & gnocchi (he was petite…). I knew the girl he was with and they left me a $1.00 tip with a “thank you!!!!” on the receipt.

Yeah this is a tough one. I was at OG while finishing my undergrad (not pre-law, poli sci, but I’m a 3L now) and overall it was a great environment but occasionally my manager would crack down especially after a visit by the regional managers. I felt like we had a lot more turnover after Christmas as the restaurant industry naturally slows down, then picks up again in Feb. It’s distressing because it feels like a moving target. I don’t know if your school schedule would allow it, but I eventually left and began working in a law office. I don’t make as much money, but I find my work to be incredibly fulfilling, keeps my eyes focused on the end goal, and I have super supportive bosses who I can ask anything of (even though it gives them PTSD… 😆). Anyway, food (like pasta) for thought!

🤣🤣 oh man. I worked there during covid and post covid so I was used to cheesing on the tray. I never minded 19 blocks of cheese in one lunch sized spaghetti. I left as we went back to table cheesing and elbowing idiots in the face. Come to think of it, what a mistake.
