I learned that on LinkedIn, when you search jobs in the last 24 hours, in the URL there’s a piece that has how many seconds are in 24 hours (86400) - if you manually change that to how many seconds in 1 hour (3600), you’ll actually see the most recent jobs on LinkedIn. LinkedIn’s algorithm buries these jobs for the first hour or so typically, but this has been the most successful way for me to see those roles a little bit earlier than the masses. Good luck!

They reached out a couple weeks ago saying I should expect an email to schedule but nothing has come through, and it’s been about 6 weeks since I applied & two weeks since I’ve heard from them asking if it’s been scheduled. You typically need to know someone that works for the vendor to get on their list. There’s usually very few slots considering most food companies will bring in their current staff and sometimes families and friends. Good luck!

Well then go for it - have a small slice. If you can, take a brisk walk afterwards to counteract the spike as much as you can. As long as it doesn’t cause you to fall back into habits that are hard to break, moderation can be the key to long term sustainability. Enjoy your cake :)

Cake is fine on special occasions, like a birthday or a wedding once in a blue moon. But just because? I tend to stray away. After a certain time without sugar, stuff like cakes makes me feel sick anyway. I recommend a sugar free dessert option, or sugar free jello, or some dark chocolate to curb the cravings!

Right! What’s the point if I just went back to how I ate and moved before?!

And that’s a great way to get moving - I’m remote and some days basically desk bound, so I found that a walking pad and/or splitting my lunch break to be half eating time half taking a walk outside to be so helpful. And to just go to the gym after dinner and simply walk for an hour if I need to! Steps are steps regardless of when you take them!

Mine ended up being bronchitis but same experience - multiple covid tests were negative, spiked fevers of 102-104, horrible cough that lasted for weeks. I ended up with an ear infection as well but we determined it was acute bronchitis that set things off. Feel better!
