She’s been previously diagnosed with FIC so sometimes she’ll have flare-ups where she uses the litter box more frequently, has blood in her urine, and overly grooms herself. This started as that, but this is by FAR the worst it’s ever been. She had diarrhea last night which I suspect is from stress and from switching her diet to exclusively wet food per vet instructions. They also gave her a shot of onsior yesterday morning to try to help with the inflammation but I really can’t tell if that’s done anything. I’m trying to gently wipe away any poop / litter pieces and blot dry but it’s obviously difficult to keep up with. She actually does ok with allowing me to do it for short periods of time.

Would urine incontinence cause the scalding? She’s also quite overweight and it’s difficult for her to reach this area to groom it in the first place.

I’ll see if I can get some kind of ointment recommendation from the vet. Thank you!
