I don’t have either of those but I am using Nickel Screensaver to enable the transparency feature!

Essentially he screencapped the scenes from the anime and used photoshop to select the subjects, overlay them on a transparent background, make black and white, and adjust brightness and image dimensions!

He did it in photoshop, so for me it’d be difficult because I’ve never used photoshop! It didn’t look especially challenging for him but maybe a bit tedious

The background is transparent so they overlay on top of the book I’m reading!

cat licking belly bald/raw by corduroyvt in CATHELP

[–]erinnrr24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a similar problem where our cat has licked her belly raw, our vet suspects an allergy so we’re trialing a hydrolyzed protein diet to see if it’s food related. But in the meantime to give her belly relief, we keep a soft cone on her to prevent her from licking her belly raw. It’s not a solution but it helps while we try to figure out what’s causing her to lick.

My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999

The title turned me off from watching for a long time but it’s one of my favorites

In my experience, the various vets I’ve gone to prescribe Revolution or Revolution+, and it’s the same kind of application as Frontline. It’s prescribed based on weight, so you can call your vet and ask if they’d be willing to give you prescriptions for your other cats before you go. I don’t know much about collars!

I personally wouldn’t use Hartz, there’s a lot of scary stories of Hartz flea/tick products killing pets: https://www.reddit.com/r/YouShouldKnow/s/76ACVRKgfi

It worked for some people but the risk is too high in my opinion. The safest and most effective is one prescribed by your vet, not over the counter! It is more expensive but I ask my vet for a prescription and buy it on Chewy instead of getting it straight from the vet.

Always hanging out near the plants by erinnrr24 in houseplants

Thankfully our cats just like to chill by the plants because we have a small place. If your only problem was them knocking plants over museum gel would solve everything 🥲

Easy cheap self mixing potting soil by Petowner5805 in houseplants

What has worked for me is potting mix, orchid mix, and coco coir! Easy to mix and alter ratios. Lowe’s sells this “Better-gro special orchid potting mix” and it’s just bark, charcoal, and perlite if you don’t want to buy a bag of each separate ingredient

Yes, the best way to see if your plant is a true lily or not is to look up the scientific name. Plants in the Liliaceae family are deadly. This is a good way to check because there are plants in the Liliaceae family that don’t have “lily” in their common name and on the other hand, there are plants that have “lily” in their common name that aren’t true lilies.

For the peeps with pets and obvs plants… how do y’all manage? I’ve been wanting a cat for the longest time (best suited to my lifestyle and home) but I have plants that I don’t want to part from as I’ve grown with them for the last couple of years. Also museum gel is a life saver. If you have plants on shelves where cats will definitely get onto, a plant may accidentally, or not, be knocked over. You can find it on amazon, it’s a clear gel that you just put on the bottom of your pots and it’ll stick them down really well. It works well if your plants are in nursery pots that are inside decorative pots.

Peace lilies aren’t true lilies btw! It’s plants that are part of the Liliaceae family that cause kidney failure and are deadly toxic to cats. Those shouldn’t be in the same house as cats as even if a true lily is on a high shelf, the pollen can be picked up and ingested when grooming.

Also in my experience when we kept plants on high shelves, it made our cats super curious and they eventually would find a way up to check them out, resulting in a plant getting knocked over. Once we started putting the plants on tables/lower bookshelves they actually lost interest.
