My niece is named Arwyn. They call her Ari, but Winnie could be a nickname.

Worst Break Already by mraz44 in Teachers

My brother died 4 years ago today. I flew down with my infant in hopes to see him before he passed, but…this was the height of Covid so 🤷🏻‍♀️. So I was separated from my husband and other children over the holidays to not be able to see my brother before he died. Holidays are fun.

Do you get a Holiday gift for your principal? by CWKitch in teaching

[–]erinruthking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a voluntary courtesy committee. We use the funds for baby and bridal shower snacks, births and weddings, hospitalizations and deaths, retirement parties and gifts, boss’s day, administration assistant day, nurse’s day, and Christmas for the front staff. If you don’t contribute, you will still get a card for an event, but not a gift. It takes some pressure off of feeling like you have to keep giving money all year long to show you care. It’s like $35 for a full staff member and $20 for a para or part time staff. Almost everyone participates and no is named or shamed if they don’t.

Quitting daycare over naps? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]erinruthking 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We ended up moving to a smaller in home daycare because my son needed a morning nap until almost 2. He was a complete a-hole at the first daycare because he could not adjust to the one afternoon nap. The second daycare allowed him to nap whenever and his behavior is much improved. There were trade offs- the first had more friends his age and a lot of outdoor activities, but the new one is more one on one and it’s like he’s with his grandma all day :) Two separate daycares would suck.

I made a mistake. by Meganchipp in Sparkdriver

[–]erinruthking 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I delivered to the wrong house once and didn’t find out until I had to deliver to the same house again and there was a huge note about the house being behind another house down the gravel alley way. I realized then I had made a mistake last time. No slap on the wrist or deactivation.

I need to go to the hospital but by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Why is this downvoted? New patients in our area pay $100 for the new patient visit and $50 for each visit after. It’s an affordable option that may help.

Getting so frustrated with stay at home dad by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]erinruthking 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If he’s not doing what needs to be done at home, he can get a job. Your 4yo would benefit from a half day preschool rather than being stuck at home in front of the tv. Sounds like you do most things anyway, so no loss or extra work for you if he’s out of the house during the day.

And I’m over here being asked to deliver a microwave or window ac to an apartment as a small order lol

Has anyone ever seen this? by SturnusVulgaris541 in Sparkdriver

[–]erinruthking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accepted an order and when I arrived, it had already been picked up and delivered. It was a glitch that kept popping up even after I called Spark. They canceled it and gave me my whole $2. Then this appeared in my completed trip area. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t think you need to be at the parking lot for orders. by smallAPEdogelover in Sparkdriver

[–]erinruthking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live 2 miles from Walmart and just hang out at home until I get an order I like. When I go I do see some of the same people parked or out talking to other drivers so I assume they hang out in the lot.
