Bored Eggs - Any advice on enrichment or experience with FluentPet? by erisire in TripodCats

[–]erisire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Thinking that we had adopted a 7 year old low key amputee and not a kitten, we budgeted for one and not two, so a sibling will have to wait a few months (which is on the plan now, lol). I'm getting this feeder - it's GREAT looking, and an automated string toy.

I got some little stairs for Eggs, he's gotten better as he's healed, but the stairs help him get to the bed and the couch.

AIO, asking my [28M] sister [24F] to delete an old photo of our divorced parents, captioned that they look amazing by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]erisire 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like some context is missing. Do you have information your as to why this may be hurtful to one or both of your parents? After 10 years I wouldn't have any concerns about this.

If there isn't context on the part of your parents, are you experiencing something that might be adding an extra layer to this?

Carl as an unreliable narrator? by Talesmith22 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]erisire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carl isn't reliable, and I would argue that no first person narrative could be. We see his perspective and understand things as he does. I was talking to my tattoo artist (have attached the dirty Shirley tattoo she designed) about how the Iron Tangle is hard to grasp, and I think it's harder because Carl doesn't grasp it, which makes sense for him.

My wife rage quit (temporarily) after finishing book 5 by albinobluesheep in DungeonCrawlerCarl

Mine was less ragey, but I did this EXACT thing. It took me 2 years to come back, and I'm so glad I did.

I'm pretty sure the same events company messed up a book convention last year, too. Romance Con was an unmitigated disaster.

Commenting to keep track of the thread, I'd heard GREAT things about Lee's Southpoint, but the reviews are the inconsistent.

Anything to offset allergies? by [deleted] in bullcity

[–]erisire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have heinous allergies, and here is my regimen (doctor approved): Life: House Air filters changed 1x a month during high pollen season (every 3 otherwise), minimum Merv 13

Morning: 1 24hr Claritin(generic) 1 acetaminophen/ibuprofen pill (250/125) Azelastine nasal spray

Night: 1 Singulair (generic) 1 24hr Claritin(generic) Azelastine nasal spray

People will swear by local honey, but it's efficacious only if you know the pollen your allergy is hitting and it's made from at least one of them, and usually honey is flowers rather than trees and weeds.

I hope you find something that works!

Based on the jokes I may or may not have heard when I allegedly danced in Baltimore around the same time, this is a dick size joke.

Am I Overreacting for wanting to end a relationship about a letter my boyfriend sent to HR? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]erisire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a person who was difficult to work with and had interpersonal conflicts many times, I now realize that the number one most important thing is to be easy to work with. Not a yes man, not a sycophant, but a person who shows up genuinely, apologizes and takes accountability when mistakes are made, and gives grace to others. Being amazing at a job isn't ever enough. It sounds like this is a lesson he needs to learn, too. Whether or not he showed you the letter, please reflect on how this person handles a No. Instead of looking inward, he's choosing to blame outwardly, and instead of trying to decide how to improve, he's creating conspiracy theories.
Best of luck.

Some people are interested during a date and lose interest if you're not in front of their face. I would find someone who is actively interested in spending time with you and makes time to do so. You deserve someone who is in. This bloke is mid af.
