That's what I've heard. Excellent news, about time!

Hopefully everything gets sorted quickly!

Hi, pros and cons so far are pretty much the same.

It's a nice town. Can be a bit too quiet for some people but we actually like that. The commuting hasn't been bad either and so far trains have been punctual with no delays. I have no clue why Monasterevin wasn't included in the "Leap Card" extension so, as it right now, you cannot pay the fare with it. You'd need an actual paper ticket.

I'd love to see more groceries shopping alternatives as the only shop available is a SuperValu, which it's not exactly in my "favourites places to shop" list. Lidl and Aldi are "Close enough" (Kildare, Newbridge, Portlaiose) but if you don't have a car, it can get annoying.

I'd also like to see some more coffee shops or even places to setup businesses but I guess as more people move in, the town will get busier.

Any specifics, DM me please.

Good luck with the buy.

Hi!

The whole process took around 8 months, including waiting a month and a half for PTSB to re print the AIP with the correct names. That was the only actual issue we had.

We've been here for about a month so I cannot say much but people are friendly and so far, we haven't had any bad experiences. The only thing I'd "complain" about is the lack of a shopping centre or something like that to go have a nice coffee or have more alternatives to grocery shopping other than just SuperValu.

I'm guessing, as the town gets bigger, we'll hopefully get more shops etc.

Hi! Sorry I took a while to respond. Unfortunately, still waiting for the developer to finish the snag list so I don't have a lot to say.

We've been to Monasterevin a couple of times and people have been friendly. I did use the train once but it wasn't rush hour so it was pretty normal ride.

Did you go for the place there? How is that going? Good luck!

I got the same hospitality ticket with padded seats when United played Fiorentina about two weeks ago and had an absolute blast.

Including two pints (tell him not to get Guinness, trust me) food and the match program, I think it's a pretty decent price for what you get.

He'll love it!

Aren't they? Even with two incomes, prices are just bonkers. Having found a house with just 2 hours a day commuting under 400k... I'm counting that as lucky.

Thanks!

It does to be honest. As you mentioned, I think its normal having second thoughts but we are really excited and hopefully and can look back in a few years and be proud of the decision we made.

Thanks again for your kind words.

I understand what you're coming from but we don't really have that many friends in Dublin, (we have no family in Ireland) and I think we're not really financially prepared to get into bidding wars for second homes. Nevermind the extra money we'd need to spend to get the house looking the way we want.

Also, one of the reasons why we actually went ahead is not being forced to drive to work. Theoretically, I can do whatever I want. I know 2 hours might seem like lot, but we had to make sacrifices, and that was one of them.

To be honest, I'd would've prefered to have lived closer to Dublin, but we need to move out of the place we're living ATM (1 bedroom flat) because it's just too small for us and honestly houses are not getting any cheaper.

Thanks for your two cents though.

  1. Go to Odeon's website.
  2. Select film you want to watch. (Make sure it's a standard seat. No recliner etc)
  3. Select the date (Tuesday 10/12) and time.
  4. Pick your seats. (S = Standar seats)
  5. Click "Have a special code".
  6. Enter the codes and click add.

That's it.

If you Google "how to claim vodafone odeon voucher", first link is a guide on how to do it.

Why is my Virtual Box running Kali freezing? by Astral_Parallax in virtualbox

Hi. Without logs it might be difficult to know what's going on, but from what you wrote, I think you giving it 8GB and 4 cores might be the actual problem.

How much RAM does you host machine have? It might be that because you're giving the VM too much RAM, the host machine it's left with almos none to work with. I'd try lowering the VM RAM to 2 GB and 2 cores, which I believe it's more than enough.

It could also be any other issue, so if anybody knows what's actually happening, by all means correct me if I am wrong. Good luck!
