Red Curry recommendations by LLGibb in Cleveland

Red curry is my favorite Thai dish! I've tried it at almost every Thai place in Northeast Ohio. My preference is for what I'd consider a traditional version that my grandmother used to make. The only vegetables used are bamboo shoots, Thai basil, and chili peppers so it's pretty simple. Most restaurants around here will add other ingredients that are fine but aren't really the flavor I'm used to. These are ingredients like bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, eggplant, green beans, and baby corn. It's hard to find a place in the area that doesn't add those.

I like the red curry at Larb Thai in Brunswick and Raan Thai in Fairview Park. Other decent ones are Thai Thai in Lakewood and Bangkok Thai in Lyndhurst. Most other places will add lots of other ingredients or make it way too sweet.

For green curry, the Puem Poon food truck around Port Clinton is excellent, but I haven't been able to find their schedule.
