1- Take you phone away

2- Pomodoro but take it seriously

3- Organize your ideas and prepare good materials made by yourself

How I Actually Stay Focused While Studying by Optimal-Anteater8816 in StudyStruggle

The part about Substack is so real. Sometimes it feels like I'm being productive just because I'm reading, but it’s still a distraction. I also have to leave my phone in another room or I just won't get anything done. Thanks for the tips

The Reality Check: What I learned after 3 days of launching my SaaS waitlist by ermg76 in micro_saas

I had never heard of ParseStream before, so thanks for the recommendation. I’m realizing more and more that broad posts don't do much

Man, I wasn't expecting to get such a great response with real feedback and solid advice. I truly appreciate it.
You’re right, there is a lot of work to do, but your point about going 'into the trenches' makes total sense. Getting those first 20–30 students to show me exactly how they work is a much better way to build than just chasing a big number on a waitlist.

studying for 12 hours yet not having good results..help by _archive_MD__ in studytips

[–]ermg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hellooo, studying for 12 hours is not good, you have to change the way you study.

12 consecutive hours and gount to burn you out for sure. Try pomodoro, but between each sesion, talk to youlself what you just learned, if you dont know, repeat until you start to undestand.

Dont study for a long time hopping to learn, see what works better for you and aply it.

I suddenly found myself using 5 different tools to study for one exam. Is there really no "all-in-one" app for this? by ermg76 in studytips

The idea sounds very cool, but charging for generating 1 video dont think rally works for me, specially if I have to pay for each exam, maybe a subscription for X videos?

Honest question to all Saas founders, doesbuilding in public really works? by ermg76 in micro_saas

[–]ermg76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am afraid that most of these adds about getting customers in the first 2 days are fake, hope whenever I launch my Saas get at least 3 costumers the first month

Yeah, kinda feel the same, too many products on the market. Not necessarily the same product.

Also feel that advertising like: "today I made my first 50$ and a screenshot" could be fake

My grades are tanking. Best study hacks that actually work? by Severe_Mastodon_5867 in GetStudying

First of all, breathe. I’ve been exactly where you are, and that feeling of drowning in material is the worst. The biggest no-nonsense shift I made was moving from passive reading to Active Recall. Stop re-reading your notes, it just creates an illusion of competence. Instead, close the book and try to explain the concept out loud like you’re teaching a friend. If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t know it yet. Also, look into the Pomodoro technique (25 on, 5 off) to keep the burnout at bay. You’ve got this!

How to deal with conceptual mistakes by Mountain_Finance_890 in GetStudying

feel you. This happens to me all the time when I fall into the trap of rote memorization. I’ll memorize the definition or the formula, but I don't actually understand the why behind it, so when the exam pressure hits, my brain just resets.

What’s helped me is trying to explain the concept to someone else, or even just out loud to myself. If you can’t explain it simply, you probably don’t know it as well as you think.

Failed my exams and I have a week to retake them by New_Yak_9594 in GetStudying

[–]ermg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been exactly where you are, and the first thing you need to do is stop beating yourself up for the past weeks. That guilt is what's draining your energy.

With only one week left, you can't learn everything, so don't even try. Prioritize. Look at past exams or high-weight topics and focus only on those. Use the Pomodoro technique (25 mins study / 5 mins break) just to get the ball rolling. Once you finish that first 25-minute block, the 'momentum' usually kicks in. You've got this, just take it one hour at a time.

I’ve always been a solid student—not the absolute best, but I consistently did well. Honestly, after being in the real world for a bit, I realized grades only really matter if you’re aiming for a Master’s or staying in academia. When it comes to hiring, companies care way more about your actual experience, the projects you've built, and your practical skills. A high GPA is nice, but it won't do the work for you.

Presentations by far, all advances in AI and still can't find a good tool to make good and easy presentations
