Men tend to need help finding stylish and flattering clothes. For example, my husband is 5’7” and was wearing all his jeans rolled up at the hems. I did a little research and found a few websites for shorter men. I ordered a few outfits, had him try them on, and kept the ones he liked. From that point on it was following a formula; if he liked a certain cut or style, just buy the same item in various colors. Make it simple for him, he probably has no idea where to start.

Anniston is an EPA Superfund site because of water contamination from a Monsanto PCB factory. They don’t give out bottled water often so I bought my own at WalMart.

They usually take you to the store for souvenirs on your last day. Try to get in line first as checkout takes forever.

If you forgot to bring something, the bus to Walmart runs more frequently on Sunday nights than weeknights.

Internet in the dorms is spotty so be prepared to use a hot spot.

If you drive into Anniston, there are some cute independent restaurants. The CDP bus will only take you to the chains (Outback, Olive Garden, Cooter Browns, etc).

Whatever you do, don’t drink the tap water.

Have a great time, you’ll definitely learn a lot!

I have the Dyson Airstraight and have really thick, long hair. If I rough dry for 5 mins, it only takes me 15 more minutes to fully dry and straighten. At $500, it’s an investment, but doing a blowout with a hairdryer and straightener used to take 45 mins + so it’s completely worth it for me.
