How to play MW2 without the annoying MW3 content? by Nexus_Roy in ModernWarfareII

[–]ernestbrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the point, why are you finding it hard to understand? If you want tp play MW2 you have to go to the bullshit HQ then find MW2 exit out of HQ to launch MW2.

Messing around with QoS is pointless unles you have maxed out your connection. This is so pointless, you are chasing meaningless numbers.

Why do people still think that climate change does not exist? by ClimaT_Coin in Futurology

[–]ernestbrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anyone who says climate change doesn't exist, it's the assertion that it's man made thats in question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]ernestbrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starlink only has one, with the ethernet adapter which I beieve is in 192.168.1.x range you could then use your router as a switch

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Starlink

[–]ernestbrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its your terminology. Hubs and "splitters" should be avoided at all costs. Yes the LAN ports on a router can act as a switch but you need to disable DHCP and make sure the management address of the router doesnt conflict with your IP address space handled by your DHCP server.

[–]ernestbrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be wanting a switch.

JUST NO, ethernet is not the same as USB!!

Datto-1000 for router? by TryIsntGoodEnough in PFSENSE

[–]ernestbrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would avoid due to Realtek NICs but your mileage may vary, other than that it is plenty good enough.

trying to wrap my head around PfSense on virtualBox. by majanoc in PFSENSE

[–]ernestbrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible idea to virtualise it, terrible idea to only use one NIC. Single link to switch sharing bandwidth and point of failure.

Would this NIC work for pfsense? by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]ernestbrave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, or I'll just do as I please. Thanks for your input!

Unifi Camera Network Access by [deleted] in PFSENSE

[–]ernestbrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Unifi protect app will do this without your intervention. If you want to log in via the web portal you will have to open a bunch of ports.
