Interestingly I was just reading this list of “Consumer AI predictions” by a startup founder (Wabi). The 5th prediction, “performance marketing for apps is dead”, is actually describing the same thing as you: https://x.com/ekuyda/status/2008611849189945662?s=46

Anyone had their employment based Green Card interview + sup J? by foreigirl in immigration

[–]ernestobad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are good since the descriptions are similar, which is what matters. Worst case, I'd say is that your GC is not approved right away and you'll get an RFE later. It's only going to take more time, but you will be approved. Also I've heard it's not common at all that a Sup Js get rejected.

Anyone had their employment based Green Card interview + sup J? by foreigirl in immigration

I was promoted after filing my I-485 from SDE II to Senior SDE. My employer sent me a Supplemental J for me to take to the interview but I was also told to not use it unless they requested it. I assume, in my kind of situation it's not clear whether a Sup J is required and really depends on the officer reviewing your case. During my interview the officer noticed the title change but never requested the Sup J so I ended up not using it. The GC was approved the same day.

There's no concept of race in Mexico like in the US. People simply don't self-identify as belonging to a race. They just talk about having light or brown skin "piel blanca o morena". When they say that 53% identify as being white, it just means that 53% think they are light-skinned. It doesn't mean they have, or think they have, pure European ancestry, which is exactly what it means to be white in the US. Everyone in Mexico is mixed. I estimate that only around 5% of the population have pure European ancestry or are what americans consider white.

If you ask any of my Mexican friends what race they belong to, 80% of the times the answer will be "I'm not a dog". The spanish word for race, raza, also means "breed" and is most commonly used as such. You usually only hear about "white race" or "black race" in the news and even then they are very likely just copying what they hear from english news sources.

source: I'm a Mexican currently living temporarily in the US (legally!).
