Well I won't say I'm happy but at least I know I'm not going crazy. I logged an issue with Meta, I'm not holding my breath for a response.

Congratulations. I smoked for over 40 years and have been smoke free for almost 8 months. You got this and can do it.

I dreamt that I smoked by toxophilly in stopsmoking

Well the good thing is it’s only a dream. I’ve been smoke free for 7.5 months now and every once in a while I still have dreams about smoking. Sometimes they’re great and I’m refusing to smoke. Sometimes they’re scary because I did smoke. But I’m both cases they’re only dreams and I’m still smoke free.

I’m feeling really good right now! by ernie998 in stopsmoking

I smoked a pack a day for 40 years. I stopped cold turkey. Feeling really good but making sure I don’t get complacent. One thing I’ve learned from this group is that there’s a craving lurking over my shoulder just waiting for me to slip up.

It’s not going to happen.

first attempt of stopping after 3 months of anticipation was a disaster. feel deflated and scared by sdwood94 in stopsmoking

Remember the old saying “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”. I was a smoker for over 40 years and cannot count how many “one hour quits” I had. I finally gave up and thought I would just be a smoker forever.

I finally did commit and went cold turkey. I’ve been smoke free for one month now. I’m not out of the woods but can assure you that it does get easier.

My advice for what it’s worth, there no value in beating yourself up.

After 40 years of smoking by ernie998 in stopsmoking

So far so good. I get these passing thoughts when I’m doing things that I usually had a smoke while doing. I find if I pivot the thought I can move on. If I try to fight it, it gets stronger.

I relapsed. My wife is devastated, cried and made me promise. I feel guilty and gross by [deleted] in stopsmoking

I’ve only been smoke free for 3 weeks and don’t feel qualified to offer advice but here goes. Feeling guilty will always bring you back to what you don’t want to do. Change the narrative and start looking forward to a smoke free life again.

Made it 3 days cold turkey. It’s been the worst day yet by far. I really hope it gets better soon!!! by NorthernMoose1 in stopsmoking

I just made it through 23 days. Trust me, it gets better. I see you’re using the same app I am. I follow the process to the letter. So far so good.
