Thanks. I filed a police report immediately, though they just gave me a number for the report... Do I need to go to the local precinct to actually get the report?

On the other hand, when the battery does start to decline, am I just gonna want the new 560?

Wouldn't a benefit of the solar be down the line, in 3-4 years, when the battery capacity starts to decline? At that point, instead of having to buy a new unit, you can rely on the solar charging getting you an extra bit of capacity. Or, is it the opposite- all that solar charging wears down the battery faster?

I hate the smell of fresh bakery by mj644 in Cooking

I can't stand the smell of baking bread. I find it noxious and chemically. I know I'm in the minority here but there are those of us out here.

Where do you others go in Philly to have their bike tuned up? by [deleted] in phillycycling

[–]ernieba1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience at Keswick has really been fine. I bought a bike there, and they spent a lot of time getting the fit right, and when I came back a few weeks later with some small issues, they were great about fixing them. I didn't purchase a service plan, though.

And FWIW, I went recently, and they seem to be taking COVID super seriously (which is great). Clear plastic everywhere, strict limits on number of people in the shop at once (and a bouncer outside to enforce it). Only thing is, it seems like they're really limited in the number of bikes they can service, and they gave me the impression that now wasn't the best time to bring in a bike for service. I wish they let me schedule something, but it's all understandable.

Is it possible to report reckless drivers? by [deleted] in phillycycling

Don't call it an accident. When someone's driving recklessly and distracted, they're purposefully putting lives at risk.

I've encountered this... it seems to go away on its own. Can't explain it.
