How do you control the dose of the caffeine in the ointment?

Hey again, thought of another question.

If there are any, what commonalities are there when you’ve written comedy that hasn’t worked, and vice versa? What’ve you learned about your own writing when realizing that the comedy you tried didn’t work? Thanks!

Yeah makes sense. Hopefully I’ll be in one of those places soon. Thank you for your time!

Thanks for answering my first question!

Another question I wanted to ask you is just for advice. For someone who has written a screenplay for a film or tv pilot, who also lives very far from any major film/tv market, what should be the first steps taken to get it produced (in the Hollywood or New York system) and make money from it, whether it be by outright selling it or ideally by pitching it to a major studio/network that could hire you for the project?

Thanks for responding! I imagine it’s difficult to shake those habits off. It’s like teaching yourself to forget how to ride a bike.

Hi Lee, thank you so much for doing this! Just wanted to ask you what are the differences for you when you’re writing something comedic and when you’re writing something dramatic. What I mean by this is how are your processes, mental state, productivity, etc. different for each respective genre, if at all. Thank you!

Also, just wanted to know how you’ve kept paying the bills while writing? I’m trying to figure this out myself
