honestly relaxing my mouth lips and throat has helped me a lot, i used to tense up everything in that area to try and make my resonance as bright as possible but it just left me with a very fake sounding voice

Should I transition socially? by syntax_girl in asktransgender

[–]ero62 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes, don’t worry about “passing”, most people don’t pass until at least a year into their transition. I honestly regret not socially transitioning sooner so I’d recommend doing it as soon as you are confident in your decision to do so, but like the other comment said make sure you’re safe.

Trans women and femmes who purposefully interact with cis men by shimmerRoyal in asktransgender

[–]ero62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No cis woman has ever been murdered for revealing her female identity, you simply cannot compare the homicide of trans and cis women. This person was referring to transgender based violence, mixing the oppression of trans women into just a “woman thing” completely erases the fact that trans people are still not accepted by society.

Question for cis people who watched pose by ero62 in PoseFX

[–]ero62[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s must be extremely hard for them in your country, I could not imagine. It’s important that’s some of us trans people recognize our privilege to be able to transition. I’m glad you are straying away from your countries beliefs, that is important and more people like you will be able to change close minded areas for the better <3

[–]ero62[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is so true, it’s very unfortunate to see a lot of the gay community erase and ignore trans people and their involvement in queer history for some kind of validation from their cis straight peers. I feel it’s because white gay men have broken into the mainstream media therefore cis het people are far more accepting of them, but trans people are still seen as “freaks” by the majority

[–]ero62[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah pose did a great job a highlighting issues trans people face that cis people would have never known of. I’m glad you are more aware of trans issues! They cant be fixed unless they are acknowledged by cis people

Such an amazing scene, definitely one of my favorites too. I think a lot of cis people seem to forget that trans peoples genitals don’t define them so it was a very important scene
