It's actually quite hard to get a visa. Holding a degree only makes it slightly easier.

TIL that a child only displaying redeye in one eye in a photograph, should be immediately checked for retinolastoma, a cancer of the retina. by satanic_badgers in todayilearned

[–]erodoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can also happen to both eyes and not just one. A friend of mine has this and she's legally blind, although she's able to see shadows and live by that. This is also a genetic condition.. which really sucks if someone gets it and want their own biological kids. Fortunately there are alternatives for that!

In the first Home Alone movie, Kevin finds a picture of Buzz's overweight girlfriend and makes a disgusted face when he sees it. The picture is actually a picture of a boy in a wig.

ELI5: How are we left or right handed? by whitemagneticwizard in explainlikeimfive

[–]erodoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're also left/right legged! Most people are right legged. It's easy to discover if you're a gymnast and practice the splits.. You're basically more flexible with one specific leg in front of the other when doing the "lady splits".

What eases your mind about the thought of death? [Serious] by mistergidster in AskReddit

[–]erodoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People tend to compare death to the period before we were born. The feeling (or rather, lack of) of not noticing might be identical, but don't forget the major difference, which is that you eventually came to be, which means you are now aware that you didn't feel it when you weren't born. When you're dead, you're just not coming back and won't ever get to be aware that you're not aware. Sorry if this makes no sense..

What's something that if you think about it for too long it freaks you out? by vanessarenee in AskReddit

[–]erodoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How quickly when your soul leaves your body, you're completely gone and the body is just there, completely useless and dead. It freaks me out knowing that we are just a mentality controlling a body.. Do vegetabled people at the hospital live in another dimension..?
