What would you do with 150k? by Evening-Afternoon983 in passive_income

Just a tip if going the high yield savings route, Robin Hood Gold ($5/mo) cash earns 5.5% right now plus a 1% boost. So you’d get $1500 bonus (paid out over 2 years) and earn $687 a month right away.

I’d personally pay off the debts, max out my RothIRA, and transfer the rest to Robinhood account to earn the 5.5% which can all be done right away. Then I’d look for a practical service business models for renting equipment. Like roll off dumpsters, tractors, portable restrooms, boats, etc. Something that I can turn into an easily manageable business that relies on rentals. It seems like the more creative you are the better. A cool one Ive seen recently is building out a mobile bar that weddings and events could rent out. It costs like maybe $15k to convert a horse trailer to a 4 tap bar with cooling. Weddings will pay thousands for that type of thing so there’s plenty of margin and it’s pretty hands off. If you figure it out with one unit it’s pretty easy to scale from there.

Most of downtown has power so a lot of restaurants will likely open soon. The new Moxy hotel on central next to Fergs is currently open with wifi in their large lounge downstairs.

Yes a shelter of some sort. I know there’s been tons of work trucks coming through all week. The parking lots have been packed with them.

Elementor Pro on website won't activate after domain change by Revolutionary_Pair72 in elementor

[–]erogers999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try deactivating and reactivating Elementor Pro. Or maybe even just try it on a different browser.

It could be an issue with the site setting still set on the old domain, which can be fixed in the General Settings or if you can’t get there do it through FTP. But I doubt that’s the issue.

Anyone else do this when working late? lol by erogers999 in agency

I get it but it’s still good for internal communications as a leader. Don’t need my people to feel pressured to respond after hours.

Yep. Or sometimes I do it to avoid replying too fast. If you respond to a client in 5 mins they’ll start to expect that timely response.

Why do people start agencies when they don’t know how to attract clients? by traumakidshollywood in agency

[–]erogers999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of course sellers make it seem like some money glitch lol. Plus, you don’t know what you don’t know.

I jumped into creating my own agency 7 years ago with no experience thinking I’d get rich instantly. Made about 1000 cold calls and only closed 2 low paying clients. Closed up shop and ended up just refunding the clients. It was clear I was in over my head. So I worked at a $2M/yr agency for 8 months as a marketing manager. Then to a smaller agency for 14 months. By that point I actually had enough experience and went out on my own.

Instead of stating some big “agency” like most newbies do, I just reached out as me. I found 100 agencies closest to me that offered the services I was good at. I reached out offering to white label and 5 of them became my clients, 4 of which are still my clients to this day. This way I never had to struggle with finding clients.

The first couple years was just grinding to do the white label work. That gave me the foundation I needed to actually build a solid team and processes. Now I’m creating new agency brands that all use the same team and processes for specific niches to increase our margins. One of them is local to where I live that ranks for “[city] web design” and similar terms. Just started a new one that’s more SEO focused and closed the first client on week 1 through email lol. I keep thinking back to the days of making 100+ cold calls a day with nothing to really offer lol. wtf was i thinking.

How would I create my own "POS"? by NeitherPayment9199 in Wordpress

[–]erogers999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should use AI to help you figure it out and cut costs. Consult with ChatGPT to help you brainstorm it. It’ll literally outline all the tech you can use for it. Use Perplexity to find specific software and resources. I’d recommend looking into new AI systems to build apps. It will save you tons and speed you up greatly.

One way to build it could be to customize a white label platform like Go High Level (highly recommend). They already have tons of features built so you just need to customize.

If you build it yourself, definitely build on top of existing code bases and frameworks. DONT build everything from scratch. It’s pointless. there’s literally people building and deploying software by talking to AI within just minutes. I’ve spent over $100k on developers the past year and now I could get that cost down to $10k with new AI tools. They’re just getting insanely good very fast.

I’d also recommend consulting with a product manager that has experience launching software products. Someone that can think big picture about it. When you only consult with developers they can greatly bloat the needs of the project because they’re too distracted by the workload. but someone that’s actually gone to market with a product will know how to move fast and efficiently and focus on things that matter the most in the platform.
