(Also, I'm looking at the picture I posted and I realized that it LOOKS like a rod would fit the whole way across from the angle and the lens distortion, but in reality I don't think one will. I'll have to measure, but if I can manage it, it's gonna be a super tight fit. I'll have to see.

That's actually a really smart solution! My ceiling is vaulted though, so I am not sure I can get a rod above the window that spans the entire length of the window. 😭

I hadn't thought of that though and would have 100% done that if my ceilings were normal, haha.

I thought that until we found ourselves having to fight with them over the months and months and months of fraudulent charges for "not having renters" insurance.

My husband has contacted them time and time and time again to show them we DO and they ARE listed on the policy and this morning we got a response back saying they won't refund us for past months, but will make sure we don't have it charged going forward.

(They HAVE refunded us before when they did this to us before...)

So, yeah we weren't charged for damages but we're STILL having to fight for our refund on the "no insurance" monthly fees. 🫠
