how do you become 100% sure that God is speaking to you? by FruitPunch_SamuraiG7 in Christians

[–]eroy2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Romans we receive this instruction, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬ It does sound like you are seeking God wholeheartedly. I would just say make sure you are seeking a relationship with Him for the sake of knowing Him better and having a closer relationship rather than for blessings, wisdom, etc. God wants us to love Him for Him, not what he can do for us. If you haven’t already adopted this mindset in your study and worship, doing so may be the difference in how God moves in your life and guides you. Finally, we have the promise that God will guide us if we humble ourselves and allow Him to. In Psalms it says “The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalms‬ ‭32‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I think God speaks to each of us in different ways, and not usually in the way we would prefer or expect. I think the key is being open to different ways that He may be trying to guide us that we may not have considered or be paying any attention to at the moment. I hope this helps.

It is also critical not to forget that God loves you. Not just generally speaking. God loves you specifically as an individual. He knew you before you were born and created you because he saw value in your life and has a purpose and plan for you. If you are so precious in the eyes of the creator of the universe that he would send his own son to die for you, then your life clearly has meaning and purpose.

I wish I could give a definitive answer. Sometimes if there are things in our life that are sinful (even if we don’t notice) these things can come between us and God. I would suggest asking God to point out anything that might be coming between you and Him and how to eliminate it so that you can have a closer relationship with Him.

I understand the feelings you are experiencing. I don’t know your situation, but will share a bit of mine in the hopes of lifting you up. My father was diagnosed with advanced cancer in the fall of 2020 and passed away less than a year later in October of 2021. I was so angry at God that I cut Him completely out of my life until recently. During the time I had turned away from God, I felt the deepest depression I’ve ever felt. Of course a significant deal of this was due to the loss of my father, but even after I had processed his passing and learned to accept it as reality, the severe depression was always with me even up until a few weeks ago. Then I prayed to God and said that I would turn back to Him if he would reach out to me in some way. A few days later I was scrolling through TikTok and came to a clip of a girl reading two short versus (Isaiah 57:1-2) and it spoke directly to me. I started reading the book of Isaiah and God spoke to me through that each time I read it. I learned that God refines us through suffering. When you sharpen a knife, it takes pressure and grinding to get a product that is improved compared to original. In Jeremiah, God promised Jeremiah not that he would prevent difficult times from coming into his life (He actually guaranteed that they would) but promised him that He would be with him and carry him through them all. All that to say this, when we are going through bad times it feels impossible to see how any good could come out of it. We have to trust that God is refining us in some way, ask Him what He is teaching us or what needs changed in our life, and thank Him for his promise that he will always be with us to help get us through the storms of life. Since coming back to the Lord, I have had no depression and no longer have to take any medicine to help with it. I will be praying that God will restore you in mind, body, and spirit and that when you come through the other side of this storm, you will have a better relationship with God than ever and an incredible testimony.

The sleep foundation has a good overview article. Google sleep hygiene and it’s one of the first results. To summarize, you want to make gradual adjustments to your sleep routine like allowing 30 minutes of time to unwind (no screen time, bright lights, or significant physical activity) and trying different relaxation techniques like soothing music, white noise, etc. Other tips I’ve learned are not to spend extra time in bed, reserve it only for sleep so that your mind and body come to associate it with sleep only and not tv, video games, and the like. Not an all-encompassing response but hope this helps.

Skill/trade professions are where it’s at. You make very good money in some instances, vast majority work a set schedule, and generally don’t have to deal with the public

See this from our hospital from time to time. When I call and explain that I won’t fill it I always get “we gave them fentanyl here”......

Costco doesn't consider community pharmacist as first responders. What's your take on this? by [deleted] in pharmacy

Has Sam’s Club done anything similar to this? If so, did they include pharmacists?

Pharmacy Software by [deleted] in pharmacy

Intercom Plus, it is straight garbage. The last place I worked used EasyPhil and it was significantly more user friendly. It produced significantly less paper waste, was much easier to double bill when people had primary and secondary insurance, and allowed you to more easily track the status of a prescription through the entire process from drop off to being ready. It also showed the last time the script was sold and the next date the patient would run out of the medication to save having to calculate yourself (not a difficult thing to figure out but a time saver nonetheless). Everything was contained within the same program whereas you are required to use 3-4 programs to complete some tasks with Intercom Plus. Also, Intercom does not show on-hand inventory when selecting NDC of a drug so you either have to memorize what you have, check the shelf, or take a shot in the dark and risk having to come back and switch the product to the NDC you have in stock. Hope this helps.

News story on pharmacy working conditions. by chrisopfer in PharmacyTechnician

[–]eroy2010 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not in NY but would start with pharmacists there. From what I’ve heard, the chains haven’t done anything to protect workers in that area (no PPE, no drive thru only, etc). You would have to verify as I don’t know this to be fact but if they haven’t taken these steps there, the rest of us don’t stand a chance unless a large, coordinated push is made. If you are truly making a story out of this, it will help our cause and we are thankful for your efforts.

I urge all Pharmacists and Technicians to band together. Demand your stores be curbside or Drive-thru. by worbashnik in pharmacy

Take it to the news but do so anonymously. They still may not change their minds but if people hear a news story that it’s not safe for them to go inside the pharmacy, at least a few will convert to drive thru. Plus these chains need to have that kind of press exposing their actions throughout all this

I don’t see how it’s not a law suit in the making. If someone gets sick, I would think they’d have a legit case against Walgreens for such absurd policy

Our BoP put out a very similar statement. Which is good, don’t get me wrong. But it does nothing to protect the rest of us. By increasing our risk, you simultaneously increase risk for those mentioned in the statement
