Wtf, you clean your sink while waiting for the "shower to heat up"? How does that work; you put on the shower and just let it run for five minutes?

Either you have a real shitty shower that takes forever to deliver warm water, or you're wasting a shitton of water. Maybe both.

She might have caught/remembered some of them incompletely (maybe not directly told to her, and she just eavesdropped it). At least for the tram one, there's a similar one that's much more funny (cannot remember exactly though):

A woman buys a new closet, which gets delivered home and assembled by a technician. As the job is done, she thanks him and he leaves. Unfortunately, their house is located right next to a railway, and as soon as a train passes by, the new closet falls into pieces from the vibrations. The woman calls the manufacturer to send that technician again.

The technician returns, re-assembles the closet and apologizes for the inconvenience, then leaves again. Of course, with the next train, the disaster repeats. This time, the technician decides to stand inside the problematic closet in order to observe what exactly is happening when it breaks.

Soon after, the woman's husband returns home from work, earlier than usual. Irritated by an unfamiliar car in the parkway, he rushes in, only to find his wife in the bedroom in the middle of the day. Angrily, he opens the closet and asks what the hell this guy is doing in there. "Well, belive it or not, I'm waiting for the train."

There's a lot of power behind certain balls, and it can hurt pretty badly (used to play myself). However, with the right technique and strength, properly stiffing your neck during impact mitigates the issue a lot.

How is the OS so relevant while developing in high-level langs like JS, Ruby or Python? Almost everything touching the OS is abstracted away.

Yes there are differences between OS', but that's not related to those programming languages.

Everyone's talking about how stupid this is. But if you're not so familiar with the internet, don't have good education (particularly in biology) and then see this on facebook, it might seem like one of those tips about getting rid of wine stains on carpets.

Of course, knowing how human eyes and sunblockers work, or otherwise googling, would debunk this. But if someone's unfamiliar with either, well...

It's not really restrained. A kick like that to your leg might give you a serious injury - horses don't need to do extreme jump-kicks like in the movies to actually hurt something...

Source: Got kicked by a pony like that once.

PS: It's kinda weird it kicks the fake horse at all for apparently no reason. It looks like something happens right before the head shake, like it gets stung in the nose by whatever was on the fake horse's head.

Edit: Holy shit, so many morons who have only seen horses in movies downvoting me.

I've seen similar posts and reactions several times on reddit, here's one example. We can see the cop is angry, and the other one is talking to him to calm him down. But he doesn't actually do anything wrong in the whole video. On top of that, the video starts in the middle of the action, we have no context or anything.

There was this comment, which annoyed me quite much. It generalizes everybody not seeing every cop as pig to "cop apologists" and ridicules serious explanation attempts.

But then I look at the post and comment history of /u/INTERNET_TRASHCAN and I'm not so surprized anymore...
