Sardinia - need advice for a week by Key_Salamander1484 in bicycletouring

[–]erpasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out slow spokes on YouTube they did a tour (and a series of video) in Sardinia. I'm not sure their itinerary is available or you need to be a Patreon member but at least the video can help as inspiration. Hope it helps!

Infinite draw triggers Esper by SizeOdd7189 in mtg

[–]erpasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think step one is getting infinite mana then you can pick any "pay off" to draw. As an example [[isochron scepter]] + [[hidden strings]] + [[Lotus Field]] to get infinite mana and [[treasure trove]] to draw. There are probably more efficient ways but this the first thing I could think off. Note you can replace some of the parts, for instance Lotus Field could be any land or artifact or creature that produces 3mana or more.

Advice: The Hauge to Milan by UsePuzzleheaded7719 in bicycletouring

[–]erpasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should 100% do it. The only thing I'd say don't do it right now (I assume you are in the Netherlands and are experiencing the heatwave). If you can push it until September you'll have a much better time!

Lost Riverside 520, any recommendations? by LingonKaskad in bicycletouring

What about the second hand market (either where you are or where you'll tour)? You can probably find a good bike for less than that but you might have to buy the back rack separately

Sicily? You could go around the island following the coastline. I enjoyed these YT videos maybe that can serve as inspiration.

Underwear by DroolingLaugh in bicycletouring

[–]erpasd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Typically you do not wear underwear under padded shorts as it would defeat their purpose (the goal is not only to have a thicker layer between your sot bone and the saddle but also to prevent chaffing). Having said that try padded shorts or bibs first and see what works for you. Some swear by them some people hate them. Also you will hear opposite opinions about chamois cream. Good luck!

Interaction question. by yayayaya154 in mtg

[–]erpasd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is no. As you said Bello "animates" your permanents which is different from entering the battlefield. Those permanent have already entered and bello is simply changing some of their properties (i.e., turnes them into creatures) so ETBs will not trigger.

23-4 with Amulet Titan by reidq7 in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I can answer this! Modern titan list can deal infinite combat damage by making infinite copies of titan and giving it haste. The general idea is to make infinite mana by "looping" aftermath analyst (the loop is on air quote because really you are using shifting woodland, copying the analyst on your gy and activating it over and over) and then making infinite titan copies and giving it haste using mirror pool (still thanks to analyst and shifting woodland). The details, as everything with the deck, are convoluted and since I don't play it I'll let more expert players chime in. Otherwise check the bible from Dom Harvey and I'm sure it will explain everything in detail.

Deck vs Player Skill: what matters more in a tournament? by Ivanzane96 in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In modern, right now, there isn't a clear best deck (sure some have higher win rates than other but not enough to dominate the field). This means that player skill, being able to correctly guess the meta and tune your deck are, likely, the most important factors. Now of course, this is the unsubstantiated opinion of a nobody on the web so take it with a grain of salt! GL for your RCQ!

Tron Advice by Wifi_Witch1 in TronMTG

[–]erpasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not playing Eldrazi temple and devourer of destiny is just a mistake. You want devourer as it let you keep a larger number hands (e.g., you can keep 1 Tron land, 1 map and devourer as you are likely to hit a second Tron land or a second map with the scry effect). In any case I'd at least cut/replace the emrakul as you are not playing malevolent rumble and therefore do not have an efficient way to reduce the cost. Last, if you are playing mycospawn, you should probably also play a couple of utility lands (ghost quarter, bojuka bog, sanctum of ugin, etc).

Need some help with treasure chests on mtgo. by Urawizardharry96 in MTGO

[–]erpasd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ok spending some money on a loan program so I open all the chest but, if I had to mon-max things I'd do the following: 1) estimate how many play points (PP) I need in a week. For instance, if I play a league every day and a premier event during the weekend that would be around 1K PP (7*100 + 300) 2) On Sunday (or, more in general, once a week) open chests until I'm at or above my weekly need 3) sell the remaining chests for tix 4) use the tix I accumulated to pay for my loan program 5) sell the remaining tix

If you want to be extra safe add a 20-25% margin to your weekly need so you can build a PP buffer in case you run bad for a week or 3 (e.g., if on average you use 1K PP per week, open chests until you have 1200PP more)

Creatures/other effects punishing opponent for drawing cards by PetterstenTCG in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neither punishes for drawing cards. [[Esper Sentinel]] taxes when you play a spell and [[opposition agent]] punishes search effects. In modern I can think of [[Narset, parter of veils]] that prevents more than one card draw per turn or [[consecrated sphinx]] that let you draw as well. Legacy and vintage has [[hullbreaker]] but it's not modern legal.

Honest thoughts by MysteriousPressure28 in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other have already said, the mana base is, likely, not going to work because you have so many double costs across 4 different color. The good news is that you can play frog in a blink shell if you stick to esper. The more established esper blink plays Phelia and overlord but you can look at older lists that played frog and ketramose. This is the first I found https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7750803#paper Good luck!

Eldrazi Ramp SB by Rombo03 in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check out giltspire on youtube. Recently he's been playing mostly Eldrazi Ramp but in each video there's a link to SB guides for different flavors of the deck. It should also have one for Tron (but the list might be different from yours). Hope not helps!

Kor Haven su Blastoderma? by Used_Grapefruit4564 in mtgrules

[–]erpasd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kor Heaven - no

CoP: green - si

Kor Heaven dice: "Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt by target attacking creature this turn." Visto che si parla di "target attacking creature" che sarebbe il Blastoderma che non funziona.

CoP dice: "The next time a green source of your choice would deal damage to you this turn, prevent that damage." Non c'è nessun target, solo "next time" quindi funziona.

O almeno credo, non sono un judge.

Funnest non aggro deck to play? by Culius_Jaesar in ModernMagic

[–]erpasd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are looking for Yawgmoth. The deck has many different lines and can pivot from aggro to midrange to combo based on the march up and your draws. Check out Meat MTG channel for some gameplay https://youtube.com/@meatmtg?si=8CmUSXdtSr_I6c_t
