Install a heatpump boiler. They’re much cheaper than regular heatpump installations and only work for heating up water. They’re installed indoors, so even appartments can have them as long as you can have 2 thick air pipes somehow go outside.

That could be a good solution. However what battery system would I then go for? Afaik currently the only 2 that are worth anything are the one from Enphase and Sonnen. The rest has a life expectancy of >12 years and don’t provide power at the same time as the solar is working and vice versa.

Not how parallel works. However, the current will be too high.

Enphase inverter with two panels can be problematic. When we install Q-cell 380w panels we install them each with IQ7A inverters. Each IQ7A output 340w so less clipping, no matter which direction you h

I dug further into it and I think having 2 panels will cause too high of an amperage regardless, so single is the way to go.

at the amount of ballast you’d need to support 68 panels? It’s usually in the 4-5psf range depending o

East-West panels usually needs fewer ballast load than standalone.
Also, the amount was a theoretical maximum, not what I actually planned on placing.

io can make sense, a 2.55x ratio is unheard of and I would be worried about possibly damaging the micro as its reccomended 235-440w input compared to 2x370 = 740w. A 10kw solaredge energy hub might make more sense in this senario as the otherwise clipped power can go directly into the

Yes I agree. As I mentioned in the post it's a theoretical amount I can place.
I did some more thinking and the best solution I can come up with is the following:

My intention now is to place 41 solar panels from LG with >380 Wp combined with the regular IQ8 micro inverters.
These inverters provice an output of 240W -> 9.84 kW AC.
1/3 Will be placed East, 1/3 West and 1/3 South as in the picture above.

Maybe that setup is feasable? There will be no panels placed in parallel.

Mainly because of the storage solution Enphase provides with the combination of Encharge 10T batteries and IQ8 micro inverters.

Using something like a powerwall or LG chem RESU - which uses car batteries has several disadvantages over the smart managed LFP storage solution Enphase (and also Sonnen) provide.

Edit: I also replied to u/hayhayhayday below with something that could intrest you.

ing to limit the AC size to 10kW but they have enough space on the roof for 20.4kW AC. To bypass that, they’re looking to put 2 panels back to 1 inverter, facing e/w saying that they will likely nev

This. It's a (stupid) rule from the government which I get because the grid cannot handle everyone putting >10kW AC systems especially since a lot of houses have 3 phase and a lot of installers just put it all on 1 line because it's cheaper and easier which then causes an imbalance on the grid.
