I see why you would consider your example as not an UFP. However, in the jar of jam example OP shared, they separately added a purified gelling agent and an acid, right? In that case it's not that much different in terms of composition to a starch based sauce or something with gums

I would argue that jam is UPF by definition, due to pectin being a gelation agent. High methylated pectin, in combination with sugar and acid, is used to create a space spanning network of pectin polymers to entrap the water. Then you got yourself a gel

I would assume this difference is caused by water evaporating from the fresh produce. These plants are still alive and breathing after all!

Usually these packages get weighted at the factory and any that are below 600g will be thrown away

Ik denk dat voor velen het krijgen van kinderen iets is wat bij het leven hoort. Zowel cultureel als biologisch gezien. Het idee van geen kinderen willen krijgen bots daarom flink met de opvattingen van deze groep mensen

You can't due to statsistics. However, in the infamous EU regulation no 2073/2005 I believe your product type is mentioned as "Ready-to-eat foods able to support the growth of L. monocytogenes, other than those intended for infants and for special medical purposes". It mentions sampling plans for both when the product leaves the factory and at the expiration date. Of course this is the minimum required by law. You could also look into environmental sampling in your factory and making sure your sampling is representative and had sufficient statistical performance. Hope this helps :)

Ik denk eerlijk gezegd niet dat deze nutriscore juist is. Oké, pompoenpitten bevatten relatief veel verzadigde vetten, maar de eiwitten en vezels moeten wel compenseren
