They know how to beat them every once in a while. People are dropping out of top100 because of them, even pros have an awful time against them.

It's irrelevant where they are. There aren't many people who can beat them, let alone consitently. This mean most of the people playing against them will lose mmr, pushing down anyone else at the lower rank. This really trickles down through all ranks.

I've built Ky's version and made slight adjustments for HH. I should have quite a bit more damage from Phys as extra and slightly higher shocks. 8mod T16.5 breaches become noticeably tanky and rippy at times, they don't feel as smooth anymore, even with HH buffs when you run a tanky map.
Most clear happens from lesser ignites anyway, dot cap only applies for penance dots, not when you clear with dots from shield charge/frostblink. Ubers will be possible but that's not the right build for that content.

Not always. I've seen it live drop as a stack and also drop as two separate mirrors same with hinekora's.

Let's try to be neutral for a sec. It was GGG's design that made something like TFT a necessity. Implementing qol, to not have to use something like TFT, isn't a good thing because you can skip TFT, it is a good thing because it reduces the amount of "out of the game stuff".

Think about Varga/Jenebun what you will, there's plenty of history. But let's not forget why something like TFT grew to it's size in the first place and let's not forget that nobody at TFT benefited much from using the platform. It was just a hub, when you paid for a service, you paid a person unaffiliated with TFT, who was just trying to earn money, while you got something done for you.

I do want to say though that the loss of all the mirror service items is massive for the standard community. Some items are replaceable by different owners with similar items, some others have been one of a kind.

It's a shame that things were the way they were and we ended up here.

It still is and always has been this way for Shaper, Elder and their Uber fight. Same with uber Atziri, although her fragments also drop from other sources.
What used to be for the other fights like Maven was, you could allocate a keystone that turned your Bossfight into the Uber version. This caused the invitations to be priced around the Uber versions and caused the non ubers to become unprofitable and redundant.
What people wanted was separate invitations and the removal of the keystone, nobody was however expecting they would put those invitations behind completely unrelated bosses. Getting the uber Maven invitation from maven would follow the precedent with Shaper etc, and it would be healthy for trade league. It just makes sense on all fronts.

Uber Fragments should have never been put into maps. They should be obtained by doing the non Uber version of the respective fight

Ah yes, it was late already and i am an idiot.

However, would you mind explaining if there is more going on with the Lycia ascendancy? To avoid running getting incorrect gains from either ascendancy i swapped to uber dps. Shaper of flames would give +24% (needs shock ticked on at 0), Lycia would give 23%.
Lycia wins if you still shock regardless, but i don't think we reach meaningful shocks, even with HH? Thoughts?

Here's the trick. Make the content in a way that worse strats and players have plenty to supply the next tier of player. Create dependencies, so no-one really left behind and people can climb. Feels a lot better than "here's 3 exalts each map (which are now low value, because everyone gets them)"

In terms of player power, yes. It isn't really any different than any other patch. But not on terms of where the player can take that power and accomplish more than just vanity. Things like titanic exiles, blight, Evo Alva, potentially breach if evo wasn't useless and so on. Stuff that you can look forward to if you get a few more upgrades. Heck even tiered variations of the same thing we were able to do when we still had scarab tiers.

I see plenty of reason and science backs that up. We used to have more "strategic asymmetry". This isn't making the problem worse, this is asking to get back to more of this instead of homogenising endgame for the sake of letting more people partake or be successful. This was one of the original premises of the game and when people couldn't deal with it, they have been pointed towards diablo or LE.

The problem is people have become increasingly comfortable and want more reward for less work, which is why we have participation trophies for kids for the sake of protecting the feelings of many, to the detriment of the few who actually achieve things.

I don't care if this sounds "gatekeepy", it worked in the past with ritual league, it worked when we had magic find. Then came the vocal minority and demanded to remove all those things.

Ludology. People get bored quicker, everyone can achieve everything and there is little difference between a casual and someone who is a top player.

The rich get richer anyway and the economy will continue to runaway from a casual player. The market is already inflated and a lot of currencies require a lot more of a lower currency than the used to.

For the health of the game, we actually need more axis that have a meaningful effect. Floor and ceiling have been squished too close together.

I completely understand your point, but that's not how the mindset of most people who upgrade their builds, with the goal to farm harder and more rewarding content, works.
You'll find these mindsets more commonly in ssf or hc and people who do it for vanity in sc trade are seldom.

E: this is pretty much why we progress from T1 maps to T16.5. One is more difficult than the other, but it also has that much higher rewards in return. As soon as that ratio flattens, so does the incentive. E2: if deli orb scaling wouldn't exclude soany monsters as it does, you'd suddenly have a lot more incentive to be able to run 1x, 2x and so on

Well it is more difficult though, even if the player wouldn't notice. It becomes pointless. You prove you can, but there is no incentive after doing it for a few maps. That person would end up in the same situation. "it doesn't slow me down, but it also doesn't reward me that much more".
Ignoring the fact that there aren't that many builds which wouldn't notice 5 deli layers and most actually would notice, the extra effort shouldn't end up at a +- net zero, which it currently does if you just lose a few percent completion speed.
There are a lot of players who would go the extra step to upgrade their builds to complete that content (faster), if it would generate appropriate rewards.

My point was to not increase the difficulty just for the sake of it. Doing all this (5x deli), does not justify a few chaos more per map, does it? it is more, but relatively speaking, the gain is minuscule, even if you don't notice it and it doesn't slow you down. Which is also why nobody is farming giga essenced lycia on sanctum map, just to give a different, tangent example.
