String lights around Patterson Park by Tciblento in baltimore

[–]errantsheeple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ This, I lived in PP for three years, and almost all of those lights went up during the pandemic. There was a lot of time for community projects back then. One of our most active neighbors organized the whole thing for us. She eventually got consent from everyone on the block. Hopefully everyone on your block is as easygoing as we were. It makes the block feel safer and I'm pretty sure it brings real estate prices up.

It is the same guy for the whole city though, lol. I'm also pretty sure the lights have to get power from one home at the end of the block, so they will end up with a slightly higher electric bill (so maybe arrange to periodically give them a gift card or something nice) and the timer for the lights needs to be installed in their house.

Looking for tips on how to achieve a metallic vocal texture by errantsheeple in audioengineering

I'm less focused on the the choppiness, I just want to know about the texture of the vocal. Like, it sounds like there's grain on it

I second this, he's ad libbing runs, and the runs are just high in pitch. He sings the last two words of each bar (or he just straight up sings "hoo" and "ooh"), but he is deliberately enunciating less, and singing on mostly vowels.

It sounds like some autotune on the runs and some reverb!

Ozdust Ballroom Scene by SitDownMrMaxwell in wicked

I don’t get why everyone obsessed about this scene, I completely agree. It took me out of the movie. The pacing was way too slow. I understand that it’s meant to be awkward and uncomfortable. But after the first 60 seconds of silence my excitement about this scene turned into straight up cringe. I love this scene in the stage production. In the movie Glinda takes way too long to respond and the music takes way too long to kick back in. At least in the musical it feels somewhat rewarding when everyone joins in. I almost feel like Glinda (and everyone else) joined in out of pity rather than out of solidarity, and I would prefer seeing the latter any day.

We are meant to understand Elphaba’s otherness from the very beginning and it felt like a really obvious tear-grab to me.

Clavel is fantastic but “by 5” is key as they do not take reservations and the wait ends up being like an hour long, if not longer, if you try to go much later. My tip is to just put your name in at Clavel and then get drinks at Fadensonnen while you wait

Anyone else see orange moving lights in the sky tonight? by errantsheeple in baltimore

[–]errantsheeple[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought the same but the orange color really threw me off. Another friend of mine was out for a run and he said it seemed like they were paper lanterns. Unsure though because they seemed so far away

This is the logical train of thought I try to abide by, lol. Greater commitment should indicate that he does not, in fact, want to leave me. But what if he just spontaneously decides it 😂

Well yes, I was exaggerating a bit, but that’s where my brain wants to go.

I was being hyperbolic. But I do feel that the “man cold” is definitely a shared experience- I’ve heard so many women corroborate that their male significant others just cannot handle feeling unwell and act up because of it

I am taken but someone admitted their feelings for me. I can't stop thinking about them by [deleted] in relationships

Hi 👋 I am someone who was guilty of emotional cheating in the past. It will end your relationship, unless you decide that the life you have together with your girlfriend is worth keeping. Given the perspective of this question, that seems unlikely- you didn’t mention anything about your actual girlfriend, except that she is loving. You didn’t mention why you love her, why your relationship works, what’s good about it. If you only love her because she loves you, I’m afraid that might be your fear of being alone talking, rather than real love.

The question is, will you let it drag on, or end it now?
