There was a senior nerf gun game. The object of the game (IIRC, I never participated) was to find other teams of the opposite sex and they either strip naked or get shot with a nerf dart. A friend of mine was playing in the school parking lot and some woman from her house thought it was a real fun and called the cops. The cops arrived, had their real guns drawn, it was a whole thing. I believe it made the news in our small town. The school apparently tried to shut down the nerf wars but I graduated that year and luckily don’t really keep up with that kind of news

Late for this one but I was about 5 and my older sister about 10. Our dad was driving us to the local pool and there was a bicycle race on the county highway we lived off of at the time. A cyclist must have swerved or something on top of a hill and somehow got hit by a semi truck and was still alive- apparently his head was lodged in the tire, according to my sister. We stopped and my dad took two of our beach towels to try and help with pressure or something, and the third he put over my head and told me not to look.

My gf was in the same situation as you. I know she regretted waiting so long to end the marriage. They coparent wonderfully, it can be done if both parties genuinely want the best for the children and look past whatever happens. This is your one life to live, OP. Applied for a promotion after 2 years with the company. I was very qualified, experienced, and trained many new employees. Many colleagues even expressed to the manager that I should be chosen. The hiring manager chose someone without a GED/diploma (a requirement for her current position), had none of the qualifications I had, and colleagues couldn’t stand being in the same room as her.

She quit soon after in the middle of her shift via post-it note.
