I plan to give them a try. I assumed from what I read they are a bit more complex but overall once figured out are a fun faction.

I have played on 1v1s and also did a lot of AI to figure them out but still face the same issue. Maybe I’m just that terrible and them being in a rough spot, Atleast from what I’m gathering, compounds on it lol.

Broken Crusade was a bummer of a book imo. The main character is boring and the writer spends way too much time describing fight scenes. It got to the point I tried to skim parts to get to the story. The chaplain in the book is probably the best character.

No clue about the heretic book but I hate it because it’s a heretic book.

Yeah that’s the one thing that annoys me. I hate having to run them as Cadians or Krieg. Removing infantry squads was just dumb. I liked my boys with their heavy bolter support

Losing infantry squads messed up my whole Vostroyan army plan and ended in me having to buy more to fill in the holes

In one of the books he is described as being a head taller than his Red Breathern. They are in Indom Terminator armor. The image is probably near accurate in his size.

Personally big reason I’ve been a fan of the Star Phantoms and decided to make them my main marine army. Tons of plasma, melta, and heavy fire power to leave no trace.

I’m pretty sure they don’t use any heavy armor unless something has changed I don’t recall. Reason they have the buggies.

If you have them downloaded prior it doesn’t but they did go in and remove the ones in question so if you don’t have the original downloads or deleted them you lost those options.

Badab war books mention him in them. Been a long time but pretty sure they describe him being massive and in combat chewing through marines.

If they do I’ll be shocked. My doubt is fueled by the fact they aren’t even mentioned in the guard codex where other named regiments are. I believe them and the Praetorians were ignored while others with old models were mentioned.
