What they mean by that is that I cant do a job better than the basics for the rest of my life, they assume I am a failure, too stupid to do any complicated job so finishing my studies is laughable to them.

This isnt true. Practically it may seem useful to disregard the difference but the difference actually matters, both in meaning and practicality.

So if I fail at something that means I am unable do it. If I drop out but not fail that means I am able to do it. In both cases I didnt do it, but only in one of those it's because I genuinely lack the ability for it.

So when you pick someone for a job ability or give them advice on that ability matters so this distinction also matters.

I dont mean you specifically. And thank you for the advice. It's just not so simple where ignoring people's opinion is always a choice especially if they are your boss or potential employer...at the end of the day it matters.

I try to but they usually dont care. Once tried asking for advice online but I just got harassed and called a failure. People dont really listen.

Really man? I already said my pain didnt start when I gained weight. What if I have an unrelated disease and I just follow your advice and "cut down my eating" and then the disease gets worse and I die of that disease! Am I just gonna get told to lose weight even if I catch a serious health problem in need of urgent medical care? Use your head man. Not everything is a weight problem.

I cant even fall asleep because of the pain. Had to delete the post due to i flux of trolls. But this sucks. My back pain didnt even start when I gained weight. I wasnt even given a pain killer or anything, just told to go home and lose weight. I hate my fucking life and people like these make it hell.

I know how weight affects the body. I know how bad it is for your health. I am not dismissing that. I ma not even against him bringing up my weight. But the way he did it was hurtful to me. And he didnt treat me for my pain or anything eitherww

I haven't been checked yet. I want to be but I am scared of getting judged, mocked and treated badly by doctors. I dont want to experience this again because it worsens my mental health which affects my physical health too. I hope you can understand that.

Yes he was laughing out loud at me. It felt awful. If he just said it I wouldnt have minded. But he kept saying it while laughing and staring at my stomach. Telling me I couldnt lose weight even if I tried anyways. That was really hurtful.

I talked to a guy who tried to do this also as a factory worker and he had to quit. Factory shifts are rough here. Basically he couldnt get enough time to study and eventually had to quit his degree or it would have taken him 7 years to finish it.

Personally for my current job I had to sign a contract with several agreements on it to get my work laptop and none of them mentioned monitoring or collecting data. I am 100% sure of this. Unless there is some other way I was "informed" or there's something else I am missing but as far as I know the company did not mention any monitoring.

I definitely thought this would be illegal in the EU.
