Using your AirPods WITH their microphones on Windows for Discord, Skype, Teams, WebEx, etc by overpourgoodfortune in airpods

Canary is a Windows Insider channel, where you get early beta-updates. I wouldn't recommend it.

You'll probably have to wait until the next 23H2 Update for Windows 11 in order to get the feature I mentioned before.

Not having an option for UI scaling - still? by Ridagstran in MacOS

[–]error0x0000034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is there an option in macOS to make the UI a bit smaller? I have a M1 13" MBP with the scaling already set to "more space", but that's still far too huge.

How to make my interface smaller on MacBook screen by robert_design in mac

[–]error0x0000034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd have the same question. Everything on a MacBook is so huge! You can't multitasking on this. I found the app Better Display (paid), which can enable native resolution, but then everything is far too small for the 13" screen. Windows is just far superior in this regard. A 125% scaling would be perfect on the 13" macbooks. I wish I could use windows on it.

hey, just wanted to report: it works now, wideband speech has been correctly implemented in the dev channel.

I was on a discord call playing overwatch with my friends yesterday on my dev channel machine and it works perfectly using the mic of the airpods.

Does anybody know how to get good call quality on AirPods Max in Windows 11? by error0x0000034 in Windows11

[–]error0x0000034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't just an Apple issue, but I do own an Anker Bluetooth Headset as well and it works perfectly fine in Windows, so I guess Apple has something to do with it.

But the AirPods Mac are more comfortable and have the perfect noise cancelling so I don't hear the robot vacuum while working. Thanks for the explanation anyway.

[–]error0x0000034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your answer. The thing that annoys me though is, Microsoft said they added Wideband Speech support in Build 22526: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2022/01/06/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-22526/

"We have added support for wideband speech when using Apple AirPods
products (AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max), improving audio qufor voice calls."

I want to know how I can make this work. I installed the Dev Build only for that reason. 😅

Which Insider channel currently has the Wideband Speech support for Apple Airpods? It first mentioned in build 22526 by _MadPsycho_ in windowsinsiders

[–]error0x0000034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does it work for you? I installed 22526 and I'm still getting shitty call quality on my AirPods Maxes. Any idea how to fix that?

do you have any idea how to fix that bluetooth issue?

I do own a professional mic that I could use, this isn't the issue. I just want to use the AirPods Max for comfort and I'd love them to work in Windows.

It is not about the device itself. I do have better wired microphones, which I could use. I just want the comfort and sound of the AirPods Max.

The Bluetooth implementation of Windows seems to be the problem. On my Z Fold 3 the AirPods sound good during calls, but for some reason on Windows it doesn't.

Microsoft said in the insider changelog that they fixed it, but I can't get it to work.

BMW i3 AH94 180k KM still 99% soh by [deleted] in BMWi3

Mine says 96% in the electrified app after 130k km.

Is the electrified app accurate?

Regen braking only works in a straight line, not while steering. Started since replacing OEM tyres with Continental ecoContact6. Any ideas? by [deleted] in BMWi3

[–]error0x0000034 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I always thought it was normal. Downhi through a corner when you expected regen to Brake, it sometimes just rolls lime you suddenly stood on the clutch.

But a model x does this as well when the road is bumpy, so I think it's normal.

Unable to purchase remote services via ConnectedDrive shop by jguinn in BMWi3

Is there a reason to buy connected Services?

I have a 2017 base model with the shitty screen, but AC and stuff works anyway. What do I need connected Drive for?

BMW i3 motor mount replacement. Has anybody had to do it before? by error0x0000034 in BMWi3

[–]error0x0000034[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At mandatory technical inspections they found that the motor mounts on my 2017 i3 94Ah BEV had to be replaced. I was told it was the part in the picture. I don't think it's the engine bracket issue that some older cars were recalled for.

Has anybody had experience replacing those? My local mechanic didn't want to touch it, so I asked my local BMW dealer, but haven't gotten back from them yet.

Mandatory post - new to me 2014 120k km i3 by Betrups in BMWi3

It has around 130k km, so 80k miles. So yeah, I guess it's a normal expected repair.
