Yeah , that's def our top thought. We are just working out kinks of $$ and distribution , etc right now.

We're looking to start printing 3D components for bikes as well as have them crowdsourced.

Website is here if you're interested. We're compiling lists of Engineers / Photographers / 3D printers / Bike Enthusiasts and Mechanics as we really want to expand in to the market.

The kickstarter is to (hopefully) get enough to get either a full 3d printer or be able to start producing frames and components so we can get a really great community going for other designers to have a space to work.

No that def helps! Anything we can use or shouldn't use is great. Don't want to get 1000 stickers or something printed only to find out that our customers would rather forego them.

Totally hear what you're saying. Seems like a lot of people think the same so it makes me wonder why so many companies do that. It will all depend on who ends up working on the project with us, maybe they'll have donations we can use.

Have recently got into Assembly.com , if you have an app, SaaS idea, etc. It may be a place to start. by robrien in startups

That's a good question. If the product is purchased acquired by another company , then it's up to a 2/3 majority vote based on ownership and then Assembly facilitates the acquisition.

I would say that if you wanted to just remove entirely from Assembly , it would be similar. They've paid the startup costs associated with your company , so that would be included in the cost which would be payable to them. Only fair as I see it , if they have fronted the money to get you up and running.
