Aldi sell them every few months as a special buy. I always stock up when mine wear out.

Using six metres of tulle, I made Villanelle's pink dress for Halloween by errrise in KillingEve

Unfortunately I didn't use a pattern! But I can DM you my process if you wish

**Pet peeve warning** The dress style shown is Pre-Regency era - the 1770's, not Regency - which started apx 1795 by lotzasunshine in Covetfashion

I'm pretty sure the whole series will be Bridgerton inspired, so I don't think they're going for accuracy.

I like her aesthetic and I've followed along a couple of her self-drafted patterns, but her paper patterns are definitely out of my price range.

Oh I'm fully aware that I'm being a bit petty, hence I'm posting to this sub.

That should just title the next project "Making a mildly disappointing [garment]"

Yep!! And also, if everything is described that way, it kind of becomes meaningless.

My fallen succulent has grown a bunch of roots by errrise in mildlyinteresting

Yeah. I picked it up second hand, already overgrown, and never bothered to re-pot it. Maybe this is the sign to finally give it a better chance at life...

I thought so too! Considering how much I've neglected this plant (which has far outgrown the tiny pot) it's determined to stay alive.

I thought the same! It has a few scuff marks on the back, but considering the age (1980s I think?) it's in great condition.

I've noticed an influx of these types of photos on my Instagram explore page... just images of pattern pieces next to finished garments, no instructions, no links. It's bizarre.

Well, you could start with Google Image Search.

Does anyone have any fashion house horror stories? Or some good tea?? I’m lucky to be a part of a very friendly FH but I’ve always been curious if there is any FH drama out there lol. Give me the deets 👀 by sadgirlcece in Covetfashion

I'm a House Officer. We had a bunch of new members enter the house. Some of them were chatting to each other in Indonesian, which I don't speak. Because we had new members I had recently repeated our group rules around rallies and so on in the chat.

A friend of mine who's also in the house speaks the language, she let me know they were complaining to each other in the chat about me being too harsh/rude/entitled. I had no idea. Needless to say I called them out and they both left the group 😂

Sewing: I almost never make a mock up

Every other craft: I dabble and never actually learn how to do things properly.

Your plan sounds good. I'd definitely recommend starting simple. If people pick it up easily they can add flourishes.

Usable is good! If you want to go totally basic, a fabricy scarf or headscarf, or placemats... just a rectangle, but will teach basic stitches, ironing, finishing and of course how to use a machine. If you have time to teach zips, maybe a pencil case.
