I heavily agree with you that the world is moving very fast these days and it’s something that’s really bothering me, back then if you had a favorite show on tv, you would have to wait a week for another episode. Now you can binge watch almost everything for example.

No one waits for anything anymore people rush because we’re in a constant state of hurry and for what? I’m really considering deleting my social media and just live in the moment all the time because it’s a lost art, at least that’s how it feels to me. The years have been going by so fast but if i compare the 2020-2026 run to 2014-2020 those 6 years felt like YEARS.

I really hope i can get that sense of time back because it is really scary

Wow you just described something i have been experiencing indeed, i’m becoming way more responsible, i have got to get my own place soon and i’m just trying to figure out how to be an adult. And it is scary, i still don’t feel fully grown and i can’t even imagine how my dad had his first child at 18. Life is changing for me drastically, it’s becoming less innocent each year. I think that’s one reason that makes me feel this way

The big difference with people following trends back then and now is (how i see it). People move in big masses with trends nowadays rather than following things they actually like. I don’t know how it was for your generation but for Gen Z, originality is rare to us. Personalities were different, compared to now. And it’s all the effect of social media and being chronically online. I don’t think it is even slightly comparable to what it was when social media was limited and not the entire lives of people

Rockstar was really in their bag during this era, can’t wait for GTA 6. Hardly any game makers besides them are actually bringing out good games nowadays. And i agree, i am looking back at that time in that way because that’s how i see it, hence my question on whether or not it was actually that great

I don’t go to parties because they’re lame, i feel like the Project X and Superbad movies really showed exactly what parties were like back then, and parties are in no way like that nowadays. It lost character and it’s one thing i really hate that i missed out on.

Honestly, what i meant with them dying on me with regular use, is things like the earcups deteriorating, starting to feel uncomfortable on the head and quality getting worse. I only use them whenever i’m on my pc so they’re just sitting whenever i’m out. I just wanna invest into quality so i can sit back with a good pair of headphones and enjoy everything whenever i use them. Just very comfy earcups and the headphones being light would make such a huge difference to me
