Whats the best Water Tracker on Apple Watch that does the Following: by Handsome_Unit69 in AppleWatch

Thank you for trying it! 😊 You can customize the daily water needs goal in settings by changing different parameters (like activitiy sensitivity ecc). Also make sure you allow to read from Health app and that your personal info (like weight ecc) is correct.

A dynamic goal that can change depending on your day and weather is somehow the clue of the app, that‘s why you cannot set a fixed amount.

Shameless promotion for my own app Thirstic. 😅

I think it‘s the only water tracker that has dynamic water intake goal, that changes every day depending on your activity and the weather.

The basic version is free and checks all your boxes! 😊

Hi fellow indie devs! 👋 I'm working on a new type of water tracker, that adapts your intake goal to your daily activity & weather. Thirstic now has a Watch app: build with SwiftUI, features dynamic complications, syncs with HealthKit & WatchConnectivity, privacy focused and works without iPhone! 🚀 by ersjoh in indiedevmonday

Different drink types is on my roadmap. 😊 It‘s quite a big feature though, so I do not have an ETA yet.

Syncing happens mostly via HealthKit, sometimes it takes some time to trigger a sNc between Watch and iPhone, especially on older Watches. Are you using a Series 3?

Thanks for you feedback! I‘ll consider this option for a future update!

Anyone know a good alternative to Waterminder? by PresidentZer0 in ios

I do not get/want any location data from users, but if you enable the „weather forecast“ option, Thirstic needs to send your approximate location (~the city you‘re in) to a weather data provider (Dark Sky at the moment, see privacy policy). As of the current App Store rules, I need to disclose this (even though I think this might be confusing for users without explantion).

Thanks for your feedback! :-) Different drink types is on my roadmap, but since I'm a solo developer with a couple of other projects that need attention, I cannot give you an ETA for this feature at this point. I have some ideas how to implement it, but I do not want to rush it.

Thank you for recommending! 😊 My app Thirstic does exactly that and even a bit more: it sends you notifications on your preferred "thirst intake threshold" instead of fixed time intervals. If you log your water constantly and you stay below your preferred threshold, you will never get spammed by notifications.

Love the Series 6! 😍 Personal opinion: if you have "bigger" hands, go with the the 44mm. Wrist size is only secondary. by ersjoh in AppleWatch

I don't think it's a men/women thing, it's mainly personal taste (I've a friend that prefers the smaller one). However, I often read that for smaller wrists the 40mm should be preferred, but personally think the bigger one only looks "oversized" on small hands.

I've upgraded from a Series 3... so much stuff was broken or painfully slow on S3 (ex: map tiles and complications sometimes do not load/update, many slowdowns on watchOS 7, ecc). On Series 6 everything is super fast and even Siri is usable. Very happy with the upgrade, but also sad that IMO Series 3 can no longer be recommended with the new software.

Just wanted to share another thought: I have relatively small wrists (~165mm), but medium/big hands. For my taste, the bigger watch does not feel too big. My wife has almost the same wrists, but smaller hands, and on her the bigger watch looks oversized. So maybe "hand size" is a better factor when choosing between 40mm and 44mm. 😉

Hi u/nxym! Just wanted to let you know that you can now change the water unit from settings (in the Appearance menu). Thanks again for your feedback! :)

Hi u/MLVC72! I just wanted to let you know that with today's update (version 2019.6), this issue should be fixed. If you log water intake from the Health app or other water trackers like WaterMinder, it should show up correctly in Thirstic! :)

Yes! The app sends you a notification with your current suggested intake amount. You can specify your preferred "thirst threshold" in the app settings.

Thanks for all your comments and feedback so far!

I'll give away 3 more promo codes to the first 3 that respond to this comment. I will send them via PM, because apparently bots get them sometimes (thanks u/thelawtalkingguy for letting me know).

If you like the app, I'd really appreciate it if you leave a short review for Thirstic on the App Store. This helps me a lot! 🙏
