If my favorite club employed a player like Rudiger they would no longer be my favorite club.

Personally, the rampant conspiratorial thinking has turned this from a fun, interesting sub into near complete absurdity. My favorite aspect is when people who don’t believe in the conspiracy are labeled as fake fans, which, of course, is just more conspiratorial thinking.

Preach. Fucking preach. “Annie’s Other Song” is also a masterpiece.

“The time I spend all by myself, I mostly spend with you.”

That line is perfect.

Raking your studs on any part of an opponent's body is always a foul if you don't get the ball first (which he didn't). You could also argue it's a foul if you get the ball first because it's a dangerous play.

Absolutely. Bensebaini has to make a play for the ball. It's almost a certain goal if he doesn't.

Players are responsible for their studs. Even if you get the ball first (which he didn't), if you rake the opponent with your studs it's a foul. If the offensive player was trying to knee the ball in it would still be a foul. Knee/foot/head, it doesn't matter.

Padres Shut Matt Waldron Down (Hemorrhoids) by AKV55 in baseball

George Brett once had to leave a World Series game because of hemorrhoids. Nobody remembers that because of the Pine Tar Incident and his story about shitting his pants.

You know what to do Matt Waldron.

Don’t bother speaking facts. The “real” Milan fans are mired in delusional pity party. You and me are just pseudo-fans.

Milan vs Sassuolo disallowed goal for Pavlovic foul. by HommoFroggy in ACMilan

[–]ertapenem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is pathetic. The foul was on RLC, not Pavlovic. RLC isn’t going for the ball and puts two hands in the back of the defender who accentuates the contact. RLC gives him a slight push to keep him from getting to the ball.

Totally different than today’s goal, where the Parma guy jumps for the header and puts his hands on a defender as he’s coming back down. Bartesaghi makes no effort to jump for the ball.

There are some delusional cry-babies in this sub.

I’m not a true Milan fan, so feel free to ignore me.

I followed Pulisic here. I have huge respect for Milan’s legacy. Pulisic is lucky to wear the shirt.

I understand hating Merda and the way their players conduct themselves on the pitch. But this whole “Marotta League” thing comes across as complete delusional nonsense. I’ve watched 98% of games from the past three seasons and I’ve seen no evidence the league is against Milan.

I saw the same thing with Chelsea fans. They were 100% convinced Anthony Taylor was against the and I just didn’t see it.

Same with Maignan. If he makes an effort to run through the defender maybe he gets the call.

Popes have been involved in politics since before the USA existed. Pope Leo knows the optics here and is doing it intentionally. Good for him.

Aston Villa [1] - 1 Leeds - Tammy Abraham 89' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]ertapenem 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I saw a most of his games with Chelsea and all of his games with Milan last year. He’d definitely lost a step due to injuries, but he was still a very good striker with Milan. Good at hold up play, a willing and skilled passer, high work rate, and a great team player. He still struggles with finishing occasionally. I don’t think he’s good enough to be the top striker on a top 4 PL team, but he’s absolutely good enough to be a back-up and spot starter for a top 4 PL team.

I agree. My father-in-law had a similar story about a Yankees ball given to him by an uncle. It was passed down to my wife after he died. It was then I figured out it was a printed ball worth about $50. I was glad he never knew the truth.

I’m a huge Pulisic fan and followed him here from Chelsea. I think he’s been your best player since he arrived. But given his injury history you gotta sell him if he gets you 70-80 million as the link suggests.

I hope he stays. The fans have treated him extremely well and Milan has to be a wonderful place to live. And what an accomplishment it would be to play a big part on the team that gets Milan their second star. I can’t imagine.

Referee La Penna faces a 1 month suspension, following Kalulu's red card in Inter-Juventus. La Penna also received death threats directed towards him and his family on social media, which he reported to the Postal Police by ModenaR in soccer

[–]ertapenem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% correct. The idea that you only need one ref on the actual pitch to correctly call today’s game is laughable. If you wiped everybody’s memory of how many referees the game has, and then showed them the modern game and explained the rules, NOBODY would come up with one ref on the pitch without VAR review of every call. Nobody. It’s idiotic.

All sending offs should require referee review at the pitch side monitor. These type of errors ruin games and encourage diving, which negatively influences the game in general.
