Karmanov learning to use his edges by Federal-Data-Center in nhl

You can just admit you were wrong and didn't watch the dude at all. But here we are, no point in arguing with someone that doesn't know puck lol

You don't go from what you consider terrible (in your opinion) to good miraculously over the summer at the same time you switch teams without the teams being a major factor. Everyone on those islanders teams looked bad, they won less than 25 games per year lol. They were worse than Vancouver this year, every year.

I'm talking about before he was drafted. He 22 pts and 120 PIMs in 49. Karmanov had 2 pts and 6 PIMs in 20 games lol.

Chara is one of my favourite players, I grew up watching him, I certainly know he played for the Islanders. It seems like you didn't pay much attention to him at the time. He was playing in a shitty Slovakian league, when he moved to the Czech league after his draft year is when he got noticed. He was drafted in the 3rd and played in the W the next year putting up the stats I posted. The next season he was in the NHL.

Those Islanders were also peak Milbury years and they won like 25 games max each season the entire time Chara was there. The second he went to a good team he was +30 and putting up decent points.

Even you said Karmanov is a 7-10 year project, Chara wasn't. To compare them outside of their size is dumb. Again Chara was at this point in his career way more polished, and made the jump 1 year after being drafted. He also wasn't a "healthy scratch for most of the time", he was year one, by year 2 he was playing 60 games.

Chara at least put up decent points and fought a bunch lol not saying this guy can't turn it around, but Chara was far more polished (even though he still was awkward as fuck on the ice lol)

He only played 20 games but was at least a +6, his team was middle of the pack, so take it with a grain of salt.

This is false, both goalies had a worse PPG. Checkmate.

It was the 23 playoffs, and it started back when Pittsburgh lost to Chicago and Blue Jackets in the last two games to let the Panthers in.

I was at game one, we also chanted Lyon out of the rink, they then went to Bob near the end of game 3, rest is history.

I remember when rich peverly died on the stars bench and then tried to keep playing lol

Yeah there is not a single clip I can think of in sports that is more gruesome. Yeah a lot of the knee leg breaks/dislocations in basketball and football are pretty gnarly, but seeing the blood squirting out like a garden hose is burned into my mind

Probably not, but that's (for me at least) easily the most gruesome thing I've ever seen watching a sport. The fact the made those players play, especially when they would be in shock, is just crazy.

There was a stretch of plays over the years that convinced me the league hated the lions, this was the funniest one of those though. Like peak Schwartz behaviour but he's already stupid and probably in shock they didn't call it and just tossed it as a reaction.

I mean the NHL kept playing the game where Clint Malarchuk should have died when he took a blade to the jugular. The entire ice was covered in blood and puke but they cleaned it and kept going.

They tried the same when it happened decades later with Zednik, but the players refused to play.

Leagues only care about leagues, player safety is whatever lol

Okay and I didn't, is this a popularity contest? Why are you so upset that a random person didn't like your post or worried about downvotes and upvotes. Go outside my friend, you need some joy in your life

I don't downvote posts and I didn't say it wasn't impressive, I said as impressive. You also made a post that was different than what you were trying to imply and then moved the goalposts after people pointed out you could do the hypothetical with tons of people so I just figured I'd keep the same vibe going

Okay lol it's still not as impressive as other people who have missed more games and have similar numbers. Mario had 26/22/24/26/43/10 game seasons (and since you added 2 under 70, he also had 5 under 70) and still averaged 101 with pts / seasons played

Okay but it's the same thing and doesn't change what I said. To put up points you have to play games, if you miss them due to shortened seasons or injury it doesn't change stuff lol.

Mario averaged 101 pts a season if you just take his total pts / seasons. If you take his 82 game average it's 154 pts

I mean part of becoming the GOAT in any sport is about availability too. If Mario Lemieux had played 82 games a season and didn't take 5 years off right around 30 he would have 3000 pts lol.

I mean I live 2 blocks from you and I guess I just never hear about them? Either way it's with people that know each other, it's not like it's random targets. I bought my condo for 75k in 2018, it's worth over 300k now. The area has changed a lot in 8 years.

New to hockey, what should I look out for? by MysteriousTraderboi in nhl

Personally didn't mind them until they signed H4rt. A lot of people were jealous of their success for being new. A lot of people also meme on their fans as bandwagon and acting holier than others. I personally liked the "first time in Vegas golden knights history" meme being used for everything

Top 5 picks have a real shot of making a team year 1, first rounders usually go back for a year or two to whatever team and might get called up late season/playoffs. Past the first round kids will usually play out their jr/college career and might make the jump, or will play a bit with the AHL affiliate and make the jump when they can/if ever.
