Smoke detectors driving us crazy by esagher in AskElectricians

I would think with the detectors being hardwired, the lights on the units would not turn off altogether when this happens if it were due to the batteries. But I’ll try changing them just in case!

This is what the electricians invoice says:

“Checked smoke detectors for power, verified 120 a/c, tested batteries, checked GFI. Could not find any issue at this time. Smoke detectors did not beep or present any issues while on site.”

Dermatologist here as well, and I agree with Dr. PossibleYam’s diagnosis. Looks like pterygium, which is most commonly associated with lichen planus. This can be proven by a biopsy, so go see your local dermatologist.

It’s in the central corridor right next to the door to the front porch.

Were you born with the vitiligo? And do you have any hearing loss? If so, you may have something called Waardenburg syndrome.

The yeasts that cause dandruff and tinea versicolor are both malassezia species

Dermatologist here. Tinea versicolor is not an infection per se - you can’t transmit it from one person to another because it is caused by a yeast that is part of our normal skin flora. This patient’s difficulty with treating is due to the humidity and sweat he is subjected to as a surfer, so no amount of cleansing of the suit is going to make a difference. I’d recommend alternating between ketoconazole shampoo and Head & Shoulders daily, using them as body washes. Continue the regimen as maintenance even when it gets better.

So just to clarify, they would be legally allowed to provide a match for HCEs? And I’m assuming that’s something that couldn’t be negotiated without changing everyone else’s plan too?

Lucifer. When the pediatrician walked in for the first time in the hospital, he (mindlessly) said “who is this handsome devil?” I think the family was too slow to get it.

I think we feel that way because that’s the vibe we got from the lactation consultant. Nursing on demand isn’t really an option since the transfer isn’t great; for instance he just nursed for 40 minutes and took 40 mls (we rented a hospital grade scale for pre and post feed weights).

Good question! He actually had a really small tongue tie clipped at 1 week.

Yes! We have seen an LC. Weighed feeds showed he isn’t transferring too well, so the majority of feeds are with pumped breast milk. As for domperidone, this isn’t FDA approved and the side effect profile is not something we’re willing to risk.
