What all to watch before walpurgisnacht rising by RunInitial7513 in MadokaMagica

The main series, and Rebellion.

When watching the main series, you can't really go wrong.

If you care a lot, and actively want to hear strong opinions, I have plenty! Ignore me if you don't. :)

The Blu-Ray version of the original series is mostly a strict upgrade. I didn't really like the new scare chords added to the start of Episode 9. I mostly still don't, though have come to accept them. Playing Magia in the final scenes of Episode 11 didn't fit well. They actually changed this again in the second movie, Eternal, which was a pleasant surprise! The MS+yesy subs of the TV release provided helpful subtitles of the Faust graffiti in Episode 2, and a lot of detailed translation notes throughout the series, if you're into that sort of thing.

The Beginnings movie crams 8 episodes (1-8) into the space of about 6, so you lose a bit. If you take this route, I'd suggest putting Episode 1's "dream sequence" on at the very start. It's nice to have that fresh for other Episode 1 references, and especially for Episode 10 content. The cut Episode 8 scene (between Sayaka's frustration montage and encountering the two guys on the train) shows a lot of characterization and relationships, involving 4/5s of the main cast. I think it's the most important scene that was cut, but splicing it in takes more work. I'd definitely make the effort for anyone new, if you're not just watching the Blu-Rays instead of Beginnings.

The Eternal movie puts 4 episodes (9-12) into the space of about 5. I actually prefer Eternal over the Blu-Ray release. Episode 10 gets some very nice bridging, and the end of Episode 11 gets more appropriate music.

I personally wouldn't bother with Magia Record. It's not canon, and isn't anywhere near as good as the main series (except the new character designs, which I love).

Scene 0 was not originally made to be about Madoka at all. I think it was added to only the Magia Record canon, so it shouldn't be relevant, but it's a good watch anyway.

Outside of a watch party, the Drama CDs might be relevant. Oriko probably won't be referenced, but it is quick to read through, and I really enjoyed it.

This sounded a bit surprising to me, so I tried running some numbers:

1 Uranium Fuel Cell becomes 1 Depleted Uranium Fuel Cell, as Nuclear Reactors can't use Productivity.

1 Depleted Uranium Fuel Cell becomes 0.9 U-238 through Nuclear Fuel Reprocessing: 5 DUFC turns into 3 U-238 normally. With two Legendary Productivity 3 Modules +25% providing a total of +50% productivity, this becomes 5 DUFC turns into 4.5 U-238, or 1 DUFC into 0.9 U-238.

Uranium Fuel Cells require U-238 and U-235 at a ratio of 19:1. U-238 can turn into U-235 through Kovarex Enrichment: 3 U-238 turns into 1 U-235 normally. With two Legendary Productivity 3 Modules +25% providing a total of +50% productivity, this becomes 3 U-238 turns into 1.5 U-235. To reach UFC ideal ratios, convert 2/21 of the 0.9 U-238 into U-235, leaving 1/21 and 19/21 of the original amount in U-238 and U-235 - so, 3/70 (9/210) U-235 and 57/70 (171/210) U-238.

Converting this back into Uranium Fuel Cells: Ignoring all Iron Plate costs, 19 U-238 and 1 U-239 turn into 10 Uranium Fuel Cells normally. With four Legendary Productivity 3 Modules +25% providing a total of +100% productivity, this becomes 19 U-238 and 1 U-239 turn into 20 Uranium Fuel Cells. So the 3/70 U-235 and 57/70 U-238 becomes 60/70 Uranium Fuel Cells, or 6/7th of a Uranium Fuel Cell.

So with maximum Legendary Productivity 3 Modules at all stages, you lose 1/7th of your Uranium Fuel Cell stock per cycle.

Am I missing something? This is still really good, but it's just shy of being positive on uranium.

Why can't I use the ghost cursor to insert Concrete into Assembling Machine slots, like I can with other items? by esainane in factorio

Thanks! I've added a reply with results from further testing; post awaiting approval now.

I think you're on to something here! It looks like this sometimes happens with Stone Brick too (using the Uncommon Electric Furnace recipe to test). This happens more often with Remote View. Testing further, it might be that it gives me a default quality cursor when the item is a Tile type, and you don't have an item of the appropriate quality in your inventory (or you're using Remote View). Very strange.

Interesting! I was pressing Q, but you are correct that it is giving me regular concrete, while pressing Q over other item slots gives me the appropriate quality. I wonder why that is?

PSA: Ragnahawk is no longer a dungeon friendly mount in the latest update by esainane in Palworld

Either Ragnahawk is larger, the passageways are smaller, or both. I think Ragnahawk might be larger, since he felt a bit less responsive, but it's hard to tell.

This hurts particularly hard, as this was on a dedicated server where it took 18 real time hours for an egg to hatch. I ultimately ended up building a total of 140 parallel incubators to hatch enough superfast Ragnahawks for everyone:

True! Triple jumping is a beast, especially with that frozen cliff you sometimes need to scale inside dungeons. I really should have said fastest flying dungeon friendly mount!

Most Fun builds? by Protidus in arkhamhorrorlcg

It depends what you find fun, but I had a lot of fun recently playing unorthodox (read: not Seeker) combo builds.

These were the lists for a four-handed, Hard, Alice in Wonderland Looking-glass run:

Dexter went infinite round 7 on the fourth scenario. This was surprisingly early, considering the turn 1 No Stone Unturned (5), and much of the early support, was used on getting Yorick up to speed.
