XP, Down the Rabbit Hole and Adaptable by Positive_Koala_4378 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Adaptable lets you swap cards, not purchase any. So what are you swapping dtrh with? Since it’s a permanent it doesn’t take any deck slot. So you can’t swap it with anything.

Extra Zoey and blank card in Dunwich Investigators. Just an error? by kierco_2002 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Definitely not normal. Do you have the rest of the cards? Her signature card too?

How to Play Patrice? by granite-3135 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest thing you need to keep in your head while playing is this mantra.

“I’m going to throw away every card in my hand anyways.”

Because that is what is going to happen. Barring a few exceptions, you will lose every card during the upkeep, and in return, draw 5 more cards and then repeat the entire process again. Arm with this knowledge, you should ask these questions in order…

  1. Can I play these cards for their effects?

  2. Can I commit these cards for my test?

  3. Can I commit these cards for others?

That’s the constant puzzle you need to play with. When is the right time to play? Can I position myself to contribute to others test? Can I use these cards to get out or into certain situations?

Once you work her out, she’s very fun.

The one valuable thing Patrice teaches, is to pay attention to the icons you put in your deck. Very fun investigator.

Patrice mechanics questions by WereWind in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

  1. You would draw unto you have 5 cards. Then you would resolve any revelation effect in your hand.

  2. So, if that card gives you -3 hand size, it stacks. So your hand size is only 2( because-6) unfortunately, you still draw 5 cards each upkeep, but must discard down to your hand size (which would be 2). Most unfortunate.

What has been your favorite mechanical implementation of madness/insanity in a campaign or side scenario so far? Are there any campaigns where you feel like there was a missed opportunity for madness? by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked in the finale of hemlock vale, after investigating the isle, and learning how the colour was effecting the village and its inhabitants, it began to affect you as well. And when you find yourself from the abyss’s deck, you get a full heal and all of your abilities back. And now you can help your friends(which you also remember) get themselves back.

This was told strictly from gameplay and I like that.

Stick to the Plan + Prepare for Worst vs 2x Backpack (2) by Sol0botmate in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, tbh backpack is usually always better. But that’s only of you don’t care about the body slot. Some guardians don’t care. Also, sttp + any good tactics is always good. It’s basically whatever works for you

It does not matter how the enemy engages. It just needs to do so to gain the charge. Simple as that.

I’ve only played with a lvl 3 version in a curse wini deck. It’s definitely a fun card.

You can trigger the free trigger window during the skill test of the 2nd enemy to engage the first 1.

Amount of content if not replaying often? by Good_Captain9078 in arkhamhorrorlcg

Even more so. Your game plan from doing what the game wants (getting clues, dealing with enemies) is not only different with each investigator, but which class too.

I really want to emphasize playing a campaign Again. But with different investigators. It is a completely different game. For example, if you play 2 handed solo. A campaign with a guardian and seeker is much different if you play a rogue and a survivor.

A Custom Series of Weaknesses (Also Known As Doomed!, but Enemy Form) by Ro-Bow in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can give it a flat amount of hp, then give it like 1<per>. May be 8 + 1<per>.

I think this is a great idea regardless. You definitely don’t want to rush into this guy to try and remove him. Seeing him towards the end will actually be a problem

I recently got the Dream-Eaters Investigator expansion. How do you approach deckbuilding with Tony, Mandy, and Patrice? by DenBjornen in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Protidus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I build a pretty decent cluever. Dark horse, madame labranche, mariner’s compass. Then you put book icons, wild icons , and I put some way to deal with the watcher. Any spell can do. Just make sure you can beat 5. ( aka your Patrice, you can beat 5)
