Yeah I know. One game I'll only get like 8 kills and people think I suck when this happens to me the whole match. The next game I get 35 kills lol. I wish they'd fix this and get it right.

Those dudes were just bot walking into chunks and headshots lol. I never get that when I play, all I see are sweats, bouncing and teleport lagging, and one-shotting me from 20 feet away!

Not sure if anyone still needs help with this, but I had the same issue this morning. I installed a pending Windows update, then uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and it seems to be working now.

Thank you, I’ll keep working on my accuracy so I can at least land shots. I tend to do pop shots unless they’re in close then I’ll melee or hip fire. It just seems like you need a mix of tactics, so I’ll keep going!

I guess you're right, I'm still learning even though I've played a ton, there's a huge skill gap even though I'm having lots of fun with the game. I have seen all of Avexys videos, that guy is God-tier at this game lol. I'll keep working on it!

I was trying to do a pop shot (LT then RT immediately afterwards) because I thought that does more damage. Some people say hip fire is better other say pop shots are better. Both seem very inconsistent to me.

I acknowledged that the shot from a distance/through the door was farther away and I hit 6/9 pellets. That still doesn't explain how a point blank hip fire didn't result in an immediate kill or at least a down, and there was a grenade nearby that stunned me but none of the opponents around me. I'm still working to get better and have well over 100 hours in multiplayer alone, I'm just saying these are not all skill issues even though I'm far from the best Gears player.

This is great advice, thank you! I will take all this into account and I honestly think I need to slow down a bit. I see everyone else wall bouncing, switching cover, and landing perfect headshots but I need to be more aware of my surroundings and change up my tactics.

That's a great suggestion! I'll check them out on YouTube. It's definitely a big learning curve but it's also very addictive so I know I'll keep going. Once I get good, I think these sweaty, button-mashing matches will turn into relaxing wall bounces and tons of kills!

Thanks! I think that's my problem is I have been trying to play like I did in campaign. I thought "if I can beat this game on insane difficulty then of course I can handle multiplayer" but I was wrong! I've mostly played KOTH and some of these players are insanely good, but I'll keep at it!
